Just a friendly reminder that Mini Lops and Holland Lops are NOT the same breed 🐇
Even though they’re both lop-eared rabbits, they are two completely different breeds with different sizes, body types, and personalities.

✨ Holland Lops: • Usually 2–4 pounds • Compact, short body with a round “baby-faced” look • Shorter ears • One of the smallest lop breeds

✨ Mini Lops: • Usually 4.5–6.5 pounds • More muscular, thick body type • Longer ears and a bolder head shape • The 3rd smallest recognized lop breed

One of the biggest misconceptions in the rabbit world is calling a rabbit a “mini lop” when it’s actually a Holland Lop. The word “mini” makes people think they’re tiny, but Mini Lops are actually their own separate breed with their own breed standard.

Both breeds are wonderful in their own way — they’re just different breeds entirely, similar to how a Chihuahua and a Dachshund are both dogs, but clearly not the same breed.
Knowing the difference helps preserve breed standards, improve education, and make sure people know exactly what they’re getting when choosing a bunny ❤️

Miss Midnight had 8 babies. 2 tri, 1 harlequin, 1 solid black, and 4 broken black. Im hoping all 8 babies make it but it looks like 2 may potentially be peanuts. And one of those possible peanuts is of course the harlequin. Harsh reality of dealing with livestock. So let's cross our fingers and toes Im wrong and that everyone makes it!

Its crazy to me how many does I have gotten this spring breeding season. Its quite uncanny.

Fancy-blue- 2 does 2 bucks
Lynn- 1 doe 1 buck

Now we wait to see what miss Midnight throws us next week.
