I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! Over the past couple of months I’ve had the privilege to attend several events including a pre-certification and a certification to help see where I’m at in my farrier journey, continue working with my mentors, and visit people who have helped me learn and grow. I’m so thankful that I’ve been able to challenge myself, continue learning and growing and helping better some lovely horses! Here’s some work from this summer :)

Hey y’all! The forge-a-thon that I am participating in is almost over and I just wanted to say thank you to the American Farrier’s Association Foundation for creating this event! While trying to raise money for this good cause I’ve also learned so much! I’ve been able to do everything from making draft shoes with Yvonne Skrzypczak Cjf to working on 3/4 fullered shoes for certified tradesman practice. I’ve stocked my transit van full of handmades and even had the opportunity to use several! It’s not too late to donate now if you feel compelled to. I wouldn’t be the farrier I am today without this organization or the sweet, knowledgeable people who are involved.

These past couple of days I’ve been participating in the American Farrier’s associations forge-a-thon! The goal is to forge at least 30 shoes in 30 days and to raise money for a good cause! It’s a great way to get some practice in, whether it’s for a certification or for a contest. Yvonne and I have been practicing for the two-man draft class that we’re doing at convention and I’ve been practicing my 3/4 fullered shoes for my certified tradesman test! While my shoes are far from perfect they have progress and as many wise people have said to me: 1% better every day is a wonderful goal to have. The American farriers association is an amazing organization that promotes continuing education for all farriers which therefore helps horses everywhere. I’m so thankful it’s something I can participle in since it’s taught me so much! Any donation is much appreciated. Please like and share!

What a blessed year it has been! I am very thankful for every client I had the opportunity to work with this past year. Wishing a very happy and healthy 2026 to all of my farrier family and friends!

Hey friends! Lately I’ve been reminded how truly thankful and grateful I am for this trade. I am humbled every day by how much I have to learn but I’m so blessed to be surrounded by people who encourage and support me along the way!

What a week! I got a great opportunity to ride with some different farriers this week and they helped me work on some things that needed fine tuning. Thank you to Kayla and Lyle Shepherd, Adam Fahr, and of course the farrier I’m privileged to work with every week Yvonne Skryzpczak for all of the help this week! I so appreciate the farrier community!!!
