I’ve been a little quiet over the past couple of weeks as I’ve been working hard in the shop to get deer projects completed and returned to customers as quickly as possible.

That said, we recently received the competition photos from the WTA Green Bay Convention held in April, and I’m still in awe of how these pieces turned out. Seeing the finished work captured so beautifully on camera is incredibly rewarding.

I’m truly grateful for the customers who not only trust me with their animals, but also give me the creative freedom to bring their visions to life. Your confidence in my work allows me to create unique mounts that tell a story and preserve memories for years to come.

Happy Monday!

What a weekend it was! We closed up the shop a little early on Thursday and headed to Green Bay for the Wisconsin Taxidermists Association Convention. Being my first year attending—and competing—I went in with low expectations for placing and high expectations for learning.

I’m incredibly proud to say I came home with some hardware from all three of my pieces! Even more than that, I left feeling inspired, motivated, and already excited to start planning for next year.

Here’s how everything placed:

• Red Stag (multiple artist piece with Jeff)
– 2nd Place Red Ribbon
– Champion’s Choice Award from Headquarters

• Fisher
– 2nd Place Red Ribbon
– 2nd Place Furbearer Award from the Wisconsin Trappers Association

• Northern
– 2nd Place Red Ribbon

Grateful for the experience, the feedback, and the opportunity to keep growing in this craft. Big things ahead!
