Here are some drone shots i did in Couer d Alene yesterday. Flew along the lake and around the park area before calling it a day. Posted the full footage to my YouTube channel though. Btw it can. E tempting to fly further than I did, but with the dji mini 3, you can only fly so far and still maintain vlos. Also it was hazy out amd there is a small seaplane base about a mile from there, so you do have to watch out for low flying aircraft as a result. Also plenty of obstacles to watch out for too, so better to play it safe on that one

Pictures.from this evening l. My parents and I attempted to watch the moonrise in the Palouse area near Rockford, however it was too hazy and smokey to see it. However, eventually the moon did come up and it was red, probably due ro the wildlife smoke

Saltese Wetlands drone footage Dji Mini 3, August 2025. Good day for drone flying weather wise (definitely better than the previous weeks). Btw I had considered doing a flight along Lake Couer d Alene or near Rockford instead, but i had some time constraints, so I decided to stay local instead

Pictures of the Lake History cruise i did in Sandpoint last week. Did one of the 90 minute cruises. Afterwards, I got a milkshake at the concession stand at the park, got a late lunch and took the scenic route going home. Btw I had originally planned to do the drone Afterwards along the lake, but it was too windy and smokey out (probably has to do with the wildfires near Athol). Beach area was somewhat crowded too, so ultimately, I decided not to fly the drone. Sometimes it is better to err on the side of caution (risk management). Perhaps another time, I can do a fligjt along the lake.. even out towards Priest River, it was windy and smokey out
