Yesterday we made our last official egg sale here in Cocoa, FL — and wow, what a journey it’s been! To every single customer who supported our small but growing business: you are such a blessing and we truly couldn’t have done it without you. 🧡

We’re excited to announce that our homestead is officially moving to Doerun, Georgia! 🌾 A new chapter full of peace, country life, and fresh beginnings is waiting — and we’re so ready.

✨Exciting News on the Homestead! ✨

We’re officially relocating our homestead and business from Brevard County, Florida to Georgia! 🐔🌾
While this move was unexpected, it’s truly a blessing in disguise. It opens the door for us to expand into full agricultural and livestock production, all while continuing to promote a natural, healthy lifestyle for both animals and humans. 🌿❤️

Along with this surprise move, we’ve also had some unexpected chick hatchings 🐣 — so if your egg order is delayed, we sincerely apologize! We’re currently double-checking to ensure no more surprise babies are in the making before sending them out.

We appreciate your patience and ongoing support during this transition.

The idealized portrayal of homesteading and farming as peaceful and serene professions is often at odds with the actual reality. In reality, farming involves extended periods of strenuous physical labor, frequently under harsh and unpredictable conditions. Farmers are confronted with unpredictable weather, crop failures, and livestock health challenges, while simultaneously managing the constant pressure of maintaining their land and equipment. This profession is characterized by muddy boots, sleepless nights, and the stress of balancing finances and production. It is not merely a matter of capturing picturesque moments of sunshine and harvests, but rather about demonstrating the grit and resilience necessary to navigate the daily struggles, setbacks, and imperfections inherent to agricultural work. Authentic farming requires a deep-seated passion for the land and animals, as well as a willingness to confront the messy, tough, and often unglamorous aspects of this profession.

Frances Hodgson Burnett, renowned author of The Secret Garden, profoundly stated, "As long as you have a garden, you have a future, and as long as you have a future, you are alive." During my childhood, The Secret Garden was a cherished favorite of mine, and I always aspired to have a peaceful sanctuary to unwind and reflect, a space I could claim as my own, where I could find solace from life's challenges. I am thankful to have realized that dream. We are delighted to see many new and beautiful things blossoming this spring!
