My girls are laying more eggs than we can keep up with, and I hate buying them in the winter. This simple freezing method has been a total game changer! I freeze them in a silicone muffin pan, then vacuum seal for long-term storage. They work beautifully for baking and cooking.

How to Freeze Eggs

Instructions:
1. Crack fresh eggs into a silicone muffin pan (or ice cube tray). You can leave them whole or lightly whisk them.
2. Place the pan in the freezer until the eggs are completely frozen solid (usually several hours or overnight).
3. Pop the frozen egg portions out of the pan.
4. Vacuum seal them in bags or place in freezer-safe containers. Label with the date.
5. Store in the freezer.

To Use:
Thaw the desired number of portions in the refrigerator overnight or gently in the microwave. Use as you would fresh eggs in baking, scrambled eggs, casseroles, etc.

This method saves so much money and reduces waste. I’ve tested it and the eggs come out great — no more sad winter egg purchases!

Okay, let me spell out my options since I can’t be set up at Dodge Park this year due to having no extra kitchen help (my demand keeps me in the kitchen a lot).

If you would like something, I can probably drop it off (so I can return back to working) at one of the three vendors….

I am down at our one supplier (out of 3 suppliers down here) at eastern market. did you know when I first started Pawz Kitchen, i called a lot of suppliers about clean products (no steroids and no antibiotics) and just because its eastern market doesnt make it automatically clean. its truly not easy to provide my great customers clean products. Fresh meat is different than clean meat with no steroids and no antibiotics.

So when I say Im about 95 % clean I work hard at it and your pet gets the best for every day treats.

Today is bone preparation day… I have beef bones to get into the dehydrator. Plus I have a whole lot of dog veggies to prep that I got from a farmer at the market.

All in a days work and day off (supposedly) around here.

A lot of biscuits made fresh, and chicken feet are finishing in dehydrator. They will be available next week. What is your pets favorite?

Thank you for loving my hamburger biscuits. Im not typical in making them. We get our beef livers from clean cows (I know lol) and dehydrate and grind them ourselves now. I use nitrate free bacon and I get our corn meal and oats from the vendor at the market so I know those too are clean.

I found eggs on sale for 1.99 a dozen a while back so I bought 12 dozen of them. 🥚✨

Method:
1. Crack eggs into a blender and mix well.
2. Pour the beaten eggs onto dehydrator trays (or lined trays if using an oven).
3. Dehydrate at 135°F for about 18 hours until completely dry and brittle.
4. Break into pieces and blend again until it becomes a fine powder.
5. Store in an airtight container or jar in a cool, dark place.

Yield Conversion:
- 1 tablespoon egg powder = 1 fresh egg
- To reconstitute: Mix 1 Tbsp egg powder with 2 Tbsp water. Let sit a few minutes before using.

These have a fantastic shelf life of 5 to 10 years when stored properly — perfect for long-term food storage and emergency preparedness!

A great way to take advantage of egg sales and always have eggs on hand without refrigeration.
