Reminiscing past weddings and dogs I have had the pleasure of assisting in. This one was truly special. This wedding took place in 2023 at Rivercrest Farm on an overcast day. The bride and I had discussed previously how much her dog, Holley, meant to her and how we both had our soul dogs. She mentioned Holley was getting older and they did not know how much time she had left. She expressed how much it would mean to her to have Holley with her on her wedding day along with Holley’s younger brother, Zeus.

Prior to the ceremony, Holley’s mom wanted a first look with her soul dog and it was the sweetest thing. You could not help but see the love and bond between these two. During the first look the bride opened a very sincere gift while Holley stood by which was a picture of sweet Holley. Tears were had 🥹

Holley and Zeus attended the ceremony on the Hilltop, got to take a wagon ride and even stuck around to taste test the ice cream to be part of the reception. In between, they rested in the groom’s suite to decompress and so Holley could nap. It was such a lovely day!

Sadly, Holley crossed the rainbow bridge about a month after their wedding. I am so grateful we were able to have Holley there for the couple’s wedding day. It was an honor to have been able to help in creating these special memories for the couple that they will have for years to come. Sweet Holley is dearly missed. 💕

Even if your dog cannot be there for all the wedding festivities, even just having the photos of the memories with them is something you will have for your lifetime. 🤍

Lola arrived for pictures with her parents on the patio at The Everly with Shipwrecked Creative - you would never know by looking at this photo that it was 90% humidity and just got done raining that day.
