🚨 URGENT RESCUE PLEA — CLEVELAND, TX 🚨
We have fed this girl several times over the past 1½–2 years.
But we have never seen her like this. 💔
She is wasting away right in front of us, and it is absolutely heartbreaking to watch.
She has been staying on this property, near an RV, for almost two years. The person associated with the RV does not claim her.
Regardless of how she got here, she deserves help. She deserves medical attention. She deserves relief.
We desperately need a reputable rescue or experienced foster who can take this girl in and get her evaluated by a veterinarian.
She is a Cane Corso and will need someone with experience with the breed and the ability to provide the care she desperately needs.
💔 If she cannot be saved and is suffering, we are also asking for someone willing to help us explore humane euthanasia so she does not continue to suffer.
No dog deserves to be left outside to deteriorate until there is nothing left to save.

🐾 FROM THE STREETS OF CLEVELAND TO THE RUNWAY IN NYC! 🗽❤️
Nick’s story is a beautiful example of what rescue can make possible.
Nick was once a stray wandering the streets of Cleveland, Texas, with no idea that his life was about to change forever.
Through rescue, Nick was given a second chance. He was transported all the way to New York, where he found the loving forever home he had always deserved.
And now… this little Cleveland stray is a NYC MODEL! 🥹🐾✨
Nick is proudly representing PetSet on the CatWalk FurBaby runway — proving that a rescue animal’s story doesn't have to end on the streets.

Adoption Update — Flash ❤️🐾

FLASH HAS FINALLY BEEN ADOPTED! 🎉❤️

And even better — he found a wonderful, loving local family right here in our community! 🏡🐾

Back in February 2024, we were contacted by a resident in Colony Ridge, Cleveland, TX, about a dog who was missing his front left paw.

We don't know what happened to Flash, how it happened, or why. But we knew one thing — we were determined to get him the help he needed.

A HUGE thank you to Volunteers for Animal Protection, Inc. here in Humble for saying YES to Flash and fighting like hell for him. ❤️

Flash eventually had his leg amputated, went through his recovery, and healed beautifully. And now, after everything he has been through, he finally has a family of his own. 🥹❤️

This is exactly why we keep going.

Thank you to everyone who supported Flash, shared his story, donated, encouraged us, and supported VAP Rescue throughout his journey.

From being a three-legged stray with an uncertain future… to being a beloved family dog. 🐾❤️

Flash's story is a reminder of what can happen when we don't give up.

Thank you to everyone who supports our daily street-feeding routes. ❤️ Because of you, these dogs don’t have to face another day completely alone.

We might not be able to save them all, but we can try to save one at a time. 🐾

I don’t know how much longer he will survive out there. Maybe 6 more months. Maybe 2 years. Maybe until distemper finds him. Maybe until a distracted driver doesn’t see him. 💔

But I do know this: he deserves a chance at more than survival.

🚨 DEAD DOG WALKING ALERT 🚨
📍 Cleveland, TX — Colony Ridge

This dog has been living in this same driveway for about 4 months. 💔

How much longer can his body keep fighting before it finally gives up completely?

And the question I can’t stop asking is… why does he keep waiting here?
What is he waiting for? His family? Someone to come back for him? Someone to finally notice him?

Maybe he’s been waiting this entire time for someone to stop and say, “I see you”
