This is what driving just 5 blocks in Colony Ridge looks like: dogs on every corner.

This is what irresponsible dog ownership looks like: unaltered dogs roaming freely, left to reproduce and struggle on the streets.

This is what a county that fails to protect its animals looks like: laws are not enforced, and little is done to address the growing crisis affecting both animals and the residents who pay taxes and deserve better.

This is a people problem, not a dog problem.

Most of the dogs in this video were owned by someone at one point in their lives. Now they have been abandoned and left to fend for themselves.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support The Daily Kibble. Together, we are making a difference—one dog at a time, one person at a time.

❤️ A Message to Our Volunteers and Community ❤️
Everyone who shows up and volunteers is a tremendous asset to the pets, strays, and families of our community and throughout Liberty County.
Your time, dedication, and willingness to help give animals a fighting chance at receiving the most basic veterinary care they desperately need to protect them from dangerous and often deadly diseases that are present in our area.
Not long ago, we saw several cases of distemper. As recently as last week, a dog tested positive for brucellosis, a highly contagious disease that can spread quickly among animals.

With thousands of stray dogs roaming our communities, infectious diseases can spread rapidly when pets are left unvaccinated and unprotected.
This is why our work matters.

We don't do this for ourselves.
We don't do this for recognition.
We don't do this for any specific organization or group.
We do this because lives depend on it.
We do this because no animal should suffer or die from preventable diseases.
We do this because every pet deserves a chance to live a healthy life.
Every vaccine given, every pet protected, every volunteer hour donated, and every person who shows up to help makes a difference.
Together, we are building a healthier and safer community for both pets and people.

Thank you to every volunteer, rescue partner, veterinarian, sponsor, and community member who continues to stand with us in this mission.

We are experiencing super heavy rain today, our quarantine area at The Daily Kibble of Cleveland, TX has flooded due to the heavy rainfall. At this time, all dogs that were housed in that area have been safely moved to higher ground and are secure.

The entire property has received approximately 6 inches of rain, and conditions continue to be challenging. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone here in Cleveland, TX and Colony Ridge who are currently experiencing flooding and dealing with the impact of this weather event.

Please keep all animals and the community in your prayers as we navigate this situation safely.

Southeast Texas is experiencing dangerous temperatures today, including Liberty County, Cleveland, Splendora, New Caney, and Houston.
Please take precautions to protect yourself, your children, and your pets from the extreme heat.
🐾 PET SAFETY REMINDER 🐾
❌ Do NOT leave dogs outside without proper shelter and protection from the sun.
✅ Provide plenty of fresh, cool, clean water at all times.
✅ Ensure pets have adequate shade and a place to escape the heat.
✅ Bring pets indoors whenever possible.
✅ Avoid walking pets on hot pavement, which can burn their paws.
✅ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse.
The heat can become deadly in a matter of minutes.
🚨 If you see an animal in distress, without water, without shade, or left in the direct sun for extended periods, please take action.
📞 Contact local law enforcement ( NON EMERGENCY) immediately and report the situation.
We all have a responsibility to speak up for animals who cannot speak for themselves.
Please check on your neighbors, elderly family members, outdoor workers, and pets during this extreme heat event.

This is why we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who chooses to be part of these incredible transformation stories. It truly takes a village. Without amazing people like Flores and Amanda Marie, and wonderful rescue partners like jack’s Pack rescue, stories like Zubin’s would not be possible.

The Daily Kibble of Cleveland Tx is always on standby, ready to jump into action when a rescue emergency arises, but we could never do it alone. Thank you to everyone who supports The Daily Kibble, shares our posts, donates, fosters, transports, and believes in these dogs.
