The power of a dog to help a soul through something scary is so often underestimated. 🐾 We’re grateful to our dentist, Kids Dental Center , for being so supportive! 😻 We wrapped up the day with a trip to Target for a little more practice together. One experience at a time, building confidence and connection. 🧡

🐶🤯 COULD A PROBIOTIC HELP PROTECT YOUR DOG FROM SKIN ALLERGIES FOR YEARS?

Does your dog constantly scratch, lick their paws, suffer from itchy, irritated skin, or struggle with recurring ear problems? These can all be signs of environmental allergies!

And NEW veterinary guidelines highlight a fascinating connection between gut bacteria and skin allergies! 👇

🔬 NEW 2026 VETERINARY DERMATOLOGY GUIDELINES!

Published in the peer-reviewed journal Veterinary Dermatology, updated international guidelines highlight research involving a specific probiotic strain called Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG).

🤯 THE BIGGEST SURPRISE? BENEFITS LASTED 3 YEARS!

In research led by veterinary dermatologist Dr. Rosanna Marsella, dogs exposed to LGG early in life had significantly milder allergic skin reactions when challenged with allergens — EVEN 3 YEARS AFTER STOPPING THE PROBIOTIC!

This suggests that beneficial gut bacteria introduced early in life may have lasting effects on how the immune system responds to allergens!

🐾 WHY SHOULD PET PARENTS CARE?

Your dog’s gut and skin are connected through the immune system! Scientists are discovering how specific beneficial bacteria may help influence allergic responses and support healthier skin.

🌱 AND HERE’S WHAT MAKES THIS RESEARCH SO EXCITING!

Dr. Karen Becker’s Primitive Probiotics™ contains the EXACT probiotic strain highlighted in the new guidelines: LGG!

Not all probiotics are created equal. Different strains can have different effects, which is why the specific strain matters!

Primitive Probiotics™ combines LGG with other beneficial bacteria to support your dog’s gut microbiome and digestive health.

💚 And that’s what makes this research so exciting! Scientists are discovering how specific probiotic strains, including LGG, may help shape immune responses and support healthier skin from the inside out!

🌱 The grass may be greener in someone else’s yard, but that doesn’t mean yours can’t grow.

Here at Soul Healing Canine, we’re getting a reminder of that thanks to TurfScapes of Tennessee, who’s giving our lawns a serious overhaul!

And honestly? There are so many similarities between rebuilding a lawn and building a foundation with your dog.

You make the investment. You find the right guidance. You put a plan in place, do your homework, and trust the journey, even when the results aren’t showing up as quickly as you hoped.

You can create the conditions for growth, but you can’t rush every part of it. Grass needs time to take root. Dogs need time to learn, process, and practice. Neither grows stronger just because we’re impatient.

Time, repetition, and consistent care are where that investment starts paying off. The work you put in today lays the foundation for what you’ll enjoy tomorrow.

TurfScapes has set the bar high. They’ve tackled our weeds, and now they’re helping us build our lawn back stronger and better. We’re in the middle of the process, and we’re trusting it! 🙌

So if you’re looking at someone else’s yard or someone else’s dog and wishing yours looked like that, remember: you’re seeing their results, without necessarily seeing all the work that came before them.

Let their progress encourage you. Then choose the guidance, put in the work, and give your own growth time to take root. 🧡

From board & trains to group classes, private in-home consults, vacation boarding and day trains, Soul Healing Canine is more than a service, we’re a community for our clients. 🧡🐾

And the best part? It all starts in a home setting. Dogs get time to rest in their crates, dirt between their toes, and the sights and sounds of everyday family life. A place to learn, settle in, and feel at home.

Around here, photo updates are simply part of our communication. There’s no extra charge to see how your dog is doing, and that’s been true since I first opened my doors many moons ago. Keeping you connected is part of caring for your dog. 📸

Looking for a more personal, thoughtful place to board your dog? Reach out to learn how to become part of our Soul Healing Canine community!

Training souls. Guiding families. Embracing the journey. 🧡
