2 of our adoptables!!

Sparky: 6 yr old Rat terrier/chihuahua mix. 11 lbs. Can live with other dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. He really doesn’t like to share his people, treats or food. Fun little guy who can be shy and hesitant with new people and surroundings.

Sparky’s forever family should be familiar with little dogs that have big personalities. When uncomfortable or pushed beyond his comfort level he will definitely choose violence, no kids for this guy. He has come a long way and does best with calm quiet patience and going slow. He has come SO FAR since we pulled him out of the County shelter and really deserves a loving home of his very own.

Sassy: 4 yr old female Pomski. Currently 29 lbs but is on a weight loss journey and her goal weight is about 24 lbs. Sassy is a super fun girl who is ball obsessed, loves to go for walks and rides in the car. Sassy is our special needs girl as she does have Addison’s disease. Dogs can and do live full lifespans with Addison’s disease with daily and monthly medication. She is a very, very good fun girl who deserves a loving family who will take care of her properly for the rest of her life. She can live with another dog, but would probably prefer to be the only dog. She’s beautiful & such a happy girl.

It‘s Wishlist Wednesday ❤️

I’ve skipped the last few Wednesdays as I try to only ask when absolutely necessary. Right now we have about a weeks worth of canned food left. (We are good on supplements and dry food for prob another month)

Update! The vet took care of him first thing. I ran back & got him. He’s back to the house and now has staples. This is rescue.

It’s $5 Friday

First, thank you everyone who has donated this week- financially and wishlist!!!

Unfortunately last night when I fed Charlie Brown he ate his sutures out and opened his mass removal site. He can’t eat with the cone on because it’s so long.

Unfortunately I just had to leave him at the vets for the entire day as I’m working 9-5 today without a break.

This is obviously an unplanned expense. I was supposed to schedule his ophthalmologist appointment today and now that will have to wait.

It’s $10 Tuesday!

Eugene has a vet appt this morning. For those of you that don’t know, Eugene is the original OG of Fido’s Hope and our logo is his ear set. He is literally the reason Fido’s Hope exists. I was in the process of dissolving my previous Rescue, and getting out of Rescue permanently. I saw him on the dreaded list of the County shelter out of time. And on his very last day I called the shelter and put a hold on him. And then I called the accountant and started the paperwork to start Fido’s Hope. The next day I went and got him. That was March 2025. I thought I would be able to adopt him out. But Eugene had other plans with a whole list of medical and health challenges. He became Fido’s Hopes first permanent resident. He is the best sweetest boy and all the dogs we’ve saved so far and for all the years to come have him to thank for it.

We are drowning in medical bills with 2 of our newest dogs and a few of our residents have ongoing medical needs as well. Every single penny donated goes towards the Fido’s Hope dogs medical care.

I received an email Friday morning , they will hold her until this Wednesday.

We have raised $300.
We still need to raise $1200 for her initial vetting.

Fido's Hope can save her if funds are raised/donated.

Her story:
She was found in a closed dumpster behind an apartment complex. Let’s look at her pictures and think about that. She is at least 10 years old, 9 lbs, obviously very neglected her entire life, heart murmur, rotten mouth, bad skin. And some heartless evil person placed her in a dumpster and closed the top. In June. In Florida. If she didn’t suffocate, she would have been crushed alive by the garbage truck. Then someone found her & brought her to the shelter where she’s been on the “list”. Now she’s out of time.

The really sad part? The kennel notes say she’s still coming to the front of the dog run wagging her hopeful little tail. After all that she’s endured she still hasn’t given up hope.

And yes, that’s her name. Jill ❤️

Please share, it’s Sassy Saturday ❤️

Sass needs a home!

We pulled this sweet girl off “the list” of a local shelter a while. She is a very happy & fun 3 1/2 year old girl. She’s crate trained, housebroken, loves to play fetch, go for walks and ride in the car. She does have Addisons Disease which is easily managed with daily and monthly meds.

Sass came to us severely obese and has been losing about 1/2 lb a week since we got her. As she loses her weight her monthly Addisons medication dosage gets lowered. She is currently 34 lbs and has about 10 more to lose. Dogs can live full life spans with Addisons disease as long as it is managed properly. She is doing great and is a very good girl who deserves a home of her very own.
