Hello, friends! We wanted to give you all an update on what is going on at Nana's Fosters. As our long time friends know, we only foster through the mild Pennsylvania months. Our kennel room is in an unheated area of the barn so our goal is to get kittens in, vetted, and adopted before the season grows cold again. Last year was a particularly busy summer. In just six months time we adopted out 35 kittens and aided in the care of 15 others. Our wonderful community kept us supplied with kitten food, litter, formula, and other odds and ends that made our summer successful. It truly takes a village, and our village is the best!
Currently we have 13 kittens from just a few days old, up to about 2 months old. We have started the vetting process on the ones that are old enough and all but the tiniest have appointments already scheduled out for spaying and neutering. Because we feel strongly that to be successful we must also know our limits, we will not be taking in anymore kittens until our older ones are able to be adopted. Last year was very tiring as our operation is just two people strong and we realize that we have to know when to say no as we want to give each kitten in our care the best we have to offer.
Thanks to a local nail salon that had a little fund raiser for us we have been able to purchase formula for bottle babies. But we are now in the position of once again needing some help with supplies. If you would like to help us out with any item from our wish list we would be so grateful. And be watching our page because KITTENS WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!
