🚨💔 DONATIONS NEEDED FOR MAEVE 💔🚨

We wish we weren’t writing this post, but today brought an unexpected emergency that we desperately need your help with. 😭🐾

Sweet Maeve needed SURPRISE SURGERY THIS MORNING after developing a hernia following her spay surgery at the shelter. Unfortunately, X-rays also showed foreign objects that needed to be surgically removed as well 💔

What we hoped would be a routine part of her journey to a better life turned into an unexpected medical emergency, and the cost has been a HUGE blow to our already stretched rescue bank account.

The good news? ❤️ Maeve is HOME and resting with her amazing foster family! We are hopeful she will make a wonderful recovery and get back to being the happy girl she deserves to be🙏

But behind every happy rescue story are bills that have to be paid. Every dollar we spend on emergency surgeries is money we can’t use to save the next dog who desperately needs us. We want to keep saying YES to dogs like Maeve, but we can only do that if we can keep up with our current medical expenses.

🥜Lets find Peanut Butter his forever home!🥜

Peanut Butter was found living under a pile of rocks in Detroit. He was, sick and covered in demodex mange, bald and scabby. Since being in foster care he has recovered nicely, with beautiful fur, and bursting with a lust for life!

Peanut is a playful, silly, adorable puppy who has the best zoomies, loves to chase a ball and is making up for all his lost puppy time.

He enjoys everyone around him, and soaks up all the love and snuggles he can get. He loves playing with his toys, and his other dog buddies. When playtime is over, he conks right out and happily takes a puppy nap until the fun begins again. He is crate trained, does not whine, and is making it through the night.

His potty training is still in progress but he is taking it pretty serious, he found out that if he goes potty outside you get a "good boy treat" and who doesn't love treats!?

Peanut Butter walks nicely on a leash, and is a wonderful co-pilot on car rides. He is a total loving bug, best cuddler, with a heart of gold, ready to bring endless joy and laughter to the lucky family that adopts him! Would do best in a home with a canine buddy.

🧡 5 DAYS UNTIL THE GREAT MIDGE MATCH! 320 DAYS.

320 days.

That’s how long it’s been since December 4, 2025, when our friends at The KG Foundation first met Midge at the shelter.

320 days since we saw that freckle-faced girl patiently looking up at us from her kennel and decided to make a plea for her.

320 days since her story started unfolding in a way none of us could have imagined.

Her life looks so different now. She has a warm, safe place to sleep. She has a foster mom who loves her. She gets to go on car rides, enjoy the simple things, and finally experience what it means to just be a dog. 🥹

But there’s one thing Midge still doesn't have.

A family of her own.

For 320 days, Midge has been waiting for someone to see her and say, “That's my girl.”

She has so much love to give. She's dog-friendly, loves everyone, and has the kind of goofy, big-headed, wiggle-butt personality that makes her impossible not to love.

She has survived a life she never deserved. She survived being tied up, outside in Detroit. She has made it through the shelter. She got through her heartworm treatment. She's been loved by her foster family. And now, we desperately want to help her find the chapter she's been waiting for all along.

Because 320 days is long enough to wait for a family. 🧡

Everyone, meet Rosemary!

What can we say about this sweet little girl? Well, she is ALL puppy 🤣

She is super smart but also really silly and d***y at the same time. She is sweet as pie, adores dogs and needs a dog to help her with confidence as she can be quite shy initially. She loves to wrestle with dogs, tennis balls are her jam! She also has a winning head tilt 😭

She lives with a 7 year old human and is great, she is teething, so need to watch those ankles, legs and hands, but she redirects well and is a keen listener. She has mastered recall and also learned to walk amazing next to you!

Rosie is a GSD/Malinois mix, so she will need an active family with a yard, preferably someone who can run with her and provide training and guidance, these dogs are not coach potatoes (although she is a great snuggler.) She lives with cats but does chase them and the prey drive is getting stronger each day, she would probably be best placed in a home without cats.

Peaches 🍑 doesn’t understand why she hasn’t received one application 😭 She’s such a wonderful dog and is ready to be great addition to her FUREVER family. (That we know is out there somewhere)

Meet Peaches!!! Peaches is the ultimate “100-mile-per-hour couch potato”—ready to sprint into your heart one minute and snooze by your side the next! Though she has only been in our care for a short time, this sweet, friendly girl is already proving to be a certified lover who considers cuddles and kisses an absolute must. Peaches loves being close to her humans and happily sleeps in bed with you at night, but she is also fully crate-trained and remains completely calm and quiet when left alone in her crate. When it comes to house training, Peaches is fully p*e-trained outside. For pooping, she currently uses a p*e pad indoors but is actively working on transitioning to the outdoors. She is a smart girl who already knows “sit,” “come,” and a partial “leave it,” so she will easily polish up these puppy habits with continued training. Peaches perfectly matches her energy to yours and has plenty of athletic potential, making her an excellent running or hiking partner. She loves playing with her toys, going for walks, and running, though once the fun is over, it takes her just a few minutes to wind down before she fully commits to lounging. Peaches is a fantastic car rider who stays completely calm on trips. Socially, Peaches is highly dependent, deeply affectionate, and rarely shy. She is incredibly friendly with strangers and seems to really like kids, though she might need a little supervision around toddlers just to ensure her enthusiasm doesn’t accidentally knock them over. On her walks, she has been completely uninterested in cats. She walks well on a leash. If you are looking for a loyal, adventurous, and deeply affectionate shadow, Peaches is ready to meet you!

She will stare lovingly into your eyes, climb right into your lap, and happily claim the title of couch-snuggle champion. She loves sleeping in bed with you but is polite enough to sleep in her own bed if you ask.

Toopsy adores her people so much that her dream home includes someone who works from home, is retired, or is around a lot. She is incredibly quiet when you are together. If left alone, she might let out a few barks to say she misses you, but she settles down quickly.
