Seleste just began learning her flying changes over the past couple weeks and has now begun dabbling in multiple changes. This smart mare is picking up quick! Some more strength and understanding and she’ll have the tempis in no time! 🤩🌟

I’ll admit, there are many times when I find myself wishing I had an “actual dressage horse”—a horse that fits the typical mold and looks the part.

But every day, I’m reminded just how grateful I am to have a horse who may not be the “typical dressage horse,” but absolutely tries her heart out for me every single ride. ❤️

Social media has a funny way of making us wish our lives looked different. We see what everyone else has—the horses, the trucks, the trailers, the facilities, the accomplishments—and sometimes forget to appreciate how far we’ve come ourselves.

Just three years ago, I was dreaming of a truck, a trailer, a small training business, and a horse who would give me her absolute best.

And guess what?

That’s exactly what I have now. 🥹

I’m guilty of being anxious about the future and constantly thinking about what’s next, what I need to improve, or where I want to be. But lately, I’ve been making a conscious effort to live in the present and appreciate what I have right now.

Because sometimes, the life we’re wishing for is actually the life we once dreamed about. 🤍

Maybe she isn’t the “typical dressage horse.” But she’s my horse, she tries her heart out, and I’m incredibly lucky to have her.

Seleste strutting her way around her 2nd ever schooling show! Still learning the ropes, but squeaked by with a respectable 65.9% at First Level with some mistakes (my showing skills are a little rusty after having a showing hiatus🤣) So proud of her 🧡🌶️

Seleste & Tempest learning their flying changes! ✨

The flying change is one of the more challenging movements to teach and execute, requiring strength, balance, timing, and understanding. These smart girls are catching on quickly and making great progress!

Now accepting a full training client. Full training consists of 4–6 training rides and/or lessons per week, customized to fit each horse and rider combination.
Experience ranges from young horses through FEI-level, with a specialty in developing difficult horses. Any breed, height, or training level encouraged. Katarina has a passion for developing "atypical" breeds for dressage. All breeds are welcomed and valued here at KVL Dressage & Performance LLC.

While dressage is the primary focus at T&D Farm, training programs may also incorporate:
• Competitions & show preparation
• Trailer training
• Low level Jumping
• Western riding
• Trail riding/hacking
• Groundwork & long-lining
• Desensitization training
Starting, restarting, and rehabilitation programs are also available.

9-year-old | 16H | Oldenburg Mare

Seleste is a stunning mare seeking her perfect partner to develop a strong partnership and progress through the levels together. She is confidently schooling First Level with most of Second Level & third work and continues to show great promise for the future. Flying changes are in the works but not yet confirmed. Goes in well in snaffle & double.

Seleste has a willing, kind disposition and thrives on attention—she absolutely loves to be groomed and doted on. Her affectionate, “in-your-pocket” personality makes her a barn favorite and a joy to work with every day.

She is best suited for a confident AA, professional, or JR/YR rider looking for a safe and talented partner. While she is sensible and takes care of her rider both at home and off-property, she can be mildly “looky” at times and is therefore not recommended for a timid or beginner rider.
