🐾Paw's Up! It's Veterinary Appreciation Day – June 18th, 2026 🐾

Today, we celebrate and thank the incredible veterinarians who dedicate their lives to caring for our pets and the people who love them.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing doctors at Clarion Animal Hospital — Dr. Hoover, Dr. Beers, and Dr. Bliss.

Over the years, these doctors have helped guide us through the busy days, the challenging cases, the unexpected emergencies, and everything in between. We truly couldn't keep this crazy train moving without them!

Meet Piper! 🐾

Piper recently underwent TPLO surgery to help repair her injured knee and get her back to doing the things she loves. The procedure was performed by Dr. Hope Chisnell through our partnership with MOVES Mobile Veterinary Specialists.

We're happy to report that Piper is recovering well and is already on her way to a stronger, more comfortable future! Recovery takes time, patience, and lots of love, but Piper is doing great.

A special thank you to her technician, Cassie, who made Piper her very own recovery bandana to help brighten her day and make her feel extra special during her healing journey. ❤️

Hi everyone, I'm Simba! 🐾

A couple of months ago, I wasn't feeling my best. My face and legs were losing hair, my skin was red and sore, and I was itching and scratching all the time. I was miserable.

When I came to see Dr. Bliss, she diagnosed me with demodectic mange, a skin condition caused by an overgrowth of microscopic Demodex mites that naturally live on a dog's skin.

When these mites multiply too much, they can cause hair loss, redness, irritation, and secondary skin infections—which was the case for me.

My family worked closely with the amazing Dr. Bliss and followed my treatment plan exactly as prescribed. After just 4 weeks, my hair back, my skin has , and I wasn't itching nearly as much.

Now, after 2 months of treatment, I'm feeling like a puppy again and on my way to a full recovery! Thank You Dr. Bliss! 💓

Expanded Exotic Pet Care is returning to Clarion Animal Hospital!

We can't wait for Dr. Natalie Brush's arrival this month! June 22nd is her first official day at CAH, and we're excited to welcome her to our team.

Dr. Natalie has a special passion for rabbits (she proudly admits she's a "crazy rabbit lady"!) and is a dedicated rabbit owner herself. Her love for rabbits has given her a deep appreciation for their health, behavior, and unique care needs.

In addition to rabbits, Dr. Natalie enjoys caring for guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, rats, mice, hamsters, and other pocket pets, as well as birds, reptiles, amphibians, and other exotic companion animals.

She is passionate about client education and helping pet owners provide the very best care for their unique companions. Dr. Natalie believes in compassionate, individualized care tailored to each species' specific needs and values building strong, lasting relationships with pets and their families.

While exotic animal medicine is a special interest, she also enjoys providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats!
