Hey Dogpatch family! Sunni here with a little bit of news. Unfortunately, May’s Outdoor School sessions are going to be CANCELLED. 😔
I recently had back surgery, and while my heart (and paws!) wanted to jump right back in, my doctor has me on strict orders: just three 10-minute walks a day. As much as I love our adventurous pups, that’s just not enough to lead our usual high-energy Outdoor School fun!
My amazing boarding dogs are doing their best to keep me company and help with cuddles during recovery, but the Outdoor School itinerary is just too much to handle without me at 100%. We always aim to give your dogs the absolute best, and I can’t do that right now.
So sorry for any disruption this causes! I’ll keep you all posted about June’s schedule as soon as I have a clearer picture of my healing timeline. Hopefully, we’ll see you in June! ❤️🐾

Some have you may have noticed that I have slowed down the last year. Because someone woke up and chose ketamine alcohol and a car I have had a year of waking up in pain. When the physical therapy and injections didn’t ease it significantly the only choice became a multilevel fusion. Life is full of choices and even with a long road ahead I am choosing hope, love and I am working on forgiveness. I have always struggled with focus on the paperwork side of Dogpatch so I can’t blame that on my back but a lot of things have been difficult. I am beyond thankful for the ladies of Dogpatch (and Rick) who have been carrying an extra load as I struggled through this. Without them and all of the dogpatch dogs this would be so much worse. It will be quite the recovery period, but I have it so much better than some. I will be doing rehab amongst my beautiful gardens, with dozens of dogs to make sure that my heart is full along the journey. Once again I want to thank each and every one of you for your patience when it takes me a while to answer emails. Most of all I thank you for sharing your dogs with us here at Dogpatch I can either dwell on the dark side or make the choice to be happy. With all the love that surrounds me every day o it’s easy to make that choice.
