Sometimes, the kindest thing we can do for a dog isn’t the prettiest choice and that’s okay. When a coat becomes severely matted, impacted, or uncomfortable, a short shave may be the healthiest and most humane option.

While it may not be the look every owner hopes for, it is the relief your dog desperately needs. Shaving allows the skin to breathe, removes painful pulling, prevents sores, and gives your pup a fresh, healthy start.

At the end of the day, comfort, safety, and well being will always come before appearance here. Thank you for trusting us to choose what’s best for your dog, not just what looks best. ❤️🐶

🍂 Longer coats for the cooler months? Absolutely! 🍂

As the weather gets cooler, a lot of you may want to keep your pup’s fur a little longer, and I’m totally fine with that! 🐶🤎

BUT… let’s talk about the maintenance that comes with keeping a longer coat. 👀

The longer the hair, the more easily it can tangle, collect debris, and develop mats. A longer haircut doesn’t mean you can stretch out the time between appointments; in fact, longer coats often require MORE frequent brushing and maintenance at home.

✨ If you’re keeping your pup’s coat longer, plan on:
• Regular brushing all the way down to the skin…not just the top layer
• More frequent combing of high friction areas like behind the ears, armpits, legs & belly
• Keeping the coat clean and completely dry after baths, rain, snow or muddy adventures
• Staying consistent with grooming appointments to prevent small tangles from becoming painful mats

And please remember: a brush over is not the same as getting down to the skin. A coat can look beautiful on the outside while hiding tangles underneath.

I’m ALWAYS happy to work with you on the length you want for your pup! My goal is to help you find a length that looks adorable and is realistic for the amount of maintenance you’re able to keep up with at home. 🐾

Longer coat? No problem!
Just remember: longer hair comes with a longer maintenance commitment. 💕✂️

As many of you know, July 2026 marks ONE full year of being open, and I truly cannot thank you all enough for the support, trust, referrals, and kindness you’ve shown my small business over this past year. 🐾❤️

Because of your continued support and the rising costs of products, equipment maintenance, and operating expenses, I will be making a small pricing adjustment beginning in July 2026.

This decision was not made lightly, but it allows me to continue providing the quality, one-on-one care and grooming experience your pets deserve.

Not every dog leaves the salon with a perfectly styled, “Instagram-ready” haircut and that’s okay. 💛

For some pups, grooming can be overwhelming. Anxiety, fear, or past experiences can make it hard for them to tolerate a full groom. In those cases, their comfort comes first, always!
That means sometimes they get the haircut they can handle, not the one we originally planned.

My goal is to create a safe, low-stress experience for every dog in my care. With patience, consistency, and trust, many anxious pups improve over time. But on tough days, we celebrate the small wins, because a calm, comfortable dog matters more than a perfect cut.
