🌸 Sunday PUPDATE with Petunia 🌸

Oh, Petunia. This girl was such a favorite from Willow’s litter. 🤍 From the very beginning, she had the sweetest, most laid-back personality and was always happiest snuggled up with someone.

And now? She’s proving to be incredibly smart, too. Her family says she’ll actually wait for them to put their shoes on before she’ll go outside by herself because apparently, outside time is a group activity. 😂

But what gets me most is how much she reminds me of her mama, Willow. The way she wallows around in her bed, flops onto her back waiting for belly rubs… I swear sometimes I’m watching videos of Willow. 🥹

It’s so fun getting these little glimpses of our puppies growing up and seeing not only how they change, but the little pieces of their mama that stay with them. 🤍

Remember Cosmo? 🌸 He’s now MOOSE! 🐾🤎

One of Willow’s babies from the April Showers Brings May Flowers litter is living his best life, and apparently he’s found his partner in crime. 🥹

Moose and his best buddy Bruno — because every doodle needs another doodle to help with the important things in life… like playing, wrestling and general mischief. 😂

We absolutely LOVE getting updates like these from our puppy families. 🤍

Willow isn’t a “breeding dog” who happens to live in our home. She’s our family who also happens to be the mama of some pretty incredible puppies. 🤍

She’s beside us for everyday life—the couch cuddles, the laughs (she’s hilarious), the face licks and all the little moments in between. And when she becomes a mama, that doesn’t change.

That’s what family-raised means to us. It starts with the dogs we love long before a litter ever arrives.

Family first. Breeding second. Always.

Sunday PUPDATE!

Duke, previously Dandelion from Willow x Coast Spring 2026 litter. Duke is a hopeful future sire for Canaan Ridge! We’re excited to see how this boy continues to grow. His whittle face 😍🫶🏻

Where your puppy spends their first 8 weeks matters more than you might realize. 🐾

For us, “family raised” is only the beginning.

Around 4 weeks old, we introduce potty trays so our puppies can begin learning that there’s an appropriate place to go. We also start taking them outside to experience grass, new surfaces, sounds and smells — while giving them lots of opportunities to learn that going potty outside is a GOOD thing. 🌱

We introduce crates before Go-Home Day. We expose them to the sounds and routines of a real home. They’re handled, played with, loved on and surrounded by everyday family life.

Are they perfectly potty trained or crate trained at 8 weeks? Of course not — they’re babies. 🤍

But they’re not starting from zero.

There’s a BIG difference between simply raising puppies and preparing puppies for family life.

And when it’s time for them to leave our family for yours, our hope is that home already feels a little familiar. 🤍
