Echo & Mac Update (1)
We’ve been hanging with these guys for almost 3 weeks now and they’ve come along way in such a short time!
Echo is a sweet heart, easy to walk/run on a leash, great at the vet and just wants to hang out with a special human. She appears to be very alpha female and seems to be best with males. She is observant and free shapes really well. Also she loves the couch and would rather be on the couch than in her crate. But I caveat this with she is awesome in understanding that she needs to go to her kennel or crate. She is really easy to be with and will make someone a great companion.
Mac is well what can I say about this dude. He’s a Shepard, a shadow to people he trusts, a dufus who doesn’t know the size of his paws and is definitely less than a year old. He gets along pretty well with females both human and dog and just wants to get good tummy rubs. He was invited to lay down in the bed and I don’t think he ever had been on a bed based on his attempt to get on it… imagine a baby deer on ice and that was him half on and half off the bed. Once our oldest Mal taught him to jump on the bed he found out very quickly that he liked to snuggle next to me. He didn’t do well at the vet and seems skittish with syringes and strangers. The poor guy has signs of hip dysplasia already and will require proper diet, exercise and medication. I don’t know many people who would want to sign up for that kind of commitment. As a puppy he needs lot of training and he’s in the right place.
Despite everything 3 weeks feels like nothing but means so much. Happy to have these guys hanging with us!
