We rescued a golden doodle that the pound believes to be approximately 5 year’s old. He came to us as a wild canine. He was ruling the house. It was very difficult for us.Eddie’s first visit was an evaluation. His conclusion was going back to the basics….sit, down, place and come. That was our homework for two weeks. We named this wild one BearWe bought a harness for Bear believing that would help with the pulling on walks. Eddie immediately transferred Bear to a slip collar leash for more control. This is a temporary training tool.Socialization with other dogs is the next challengeYou will see the immediate change in your dog’s behavior when Eddie takes the leash and you will know that there is hope 🤩 for a calmer well behaved dog. Ps I’m a 74 year old woman at 125 lbs walking a 70 pound dog. It’s for my safety that I called Eddie.

Very happy customer! Eddie has such insight about dog behavior and was he able to solve my dog's challenging behavioral issues. He listened to us and made us feel hopeful that our dog could change for the better. He communicated throughout the duration of my dog's board and training. His updates, pictures, and videos were much appreciated. We received our dog back after the confidence "course" happy, trained, and healthy.Eddie followed up to see how things were going and he met with us and our dog a few times for addition behavior issues/concerns. My dog is now happy and living her best life. I'm so grateful for Eddie's knowledge and compassion!

Eddie was so knowledgeable about dog training and behavior, he really helped break down the process to make it feel doable. My dog is already responding to the training really well!

Eddie took my dog in for eight weeks, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. Eddie helped me understand my dog, took the time to educate and answer any questions I had throughout the entire process. Before training, my dog struggled with reactivity and I truly believed he would never be able to safely be around people without a muzzle. It felt limiting and honestly discouraging at times. Eddie not only worked on the behaviors, he worked on my dog’s confidence. That was the biggest shift. He taught him structure, better boundaries, and how to regulate himself instead of reacting to everything around him. The change wasn’t just surface level obedience. It was a mindset shift in my dog. He’s calmer, more secure, and able to be around people in a way I didn’t think would ever be possible.I feel like I finally have my dog back. If you’re on the fence, especially with a reactive dog, I would absolutely recommend Eddie. The transformation has been huge for us.

I needed some behavioral training for my puppy (Belgian Malinois/Mix) and i came across Critical Thinking. Within minutes of putting in an inquiry about training, Eddie (the owner) got in contact with me and gave me all the information i needed to know about his services and answered any questions that i had.I chose to put my pup in a longer training program and throughout that time Eddie was giving me updates on how my pup was doing, any behavior changes, sending pictures. Overall very professional, very knowledgeable on breeds and what each of their needs are. My pup is a totally different dog than when i first adopted him, he has a lot more confidence, he is a lot more attentive to his commands, etc. I highly recommend especially for him being local in the IE!
