We’re BACK at it again at Bass Pro Shops with Tyson & Princess! 🐕🔥
Today we worked on building reliable sit-stays in a busy public setting, along with proper leash walking without pulling. We even did some shopping while Tyson & Princess stayed exactly where they were told. 👏
We don’t believe dogs should have to stay home when they can experience the real world under structure, control, and proper guidance.
Tyson & Princess are officially on Week 10, and their progress has been remarkable. Their handlers have put in the consistent, effortless work to build better communication, stronger obedience, and an easier life with their dogs.
Real work. Real consistency. Real results. 🐾💪

This training didn’t start yesterday it’s been a lifetime in the making. 🧬
This right here is control in every way possible. Behind closed doors, Nova is the most cuddly, affectionate, and silly dog you’ll ever meet and that personality says everything about her. But when it’s time to work, we don’t stop. Half the time, she outworks me. 😂
Nova is the foundation of Paw-Sitive Academy. She’s what drives me. She’s the reason. She’s the “why” behind why we’ve gone on to train hundreds of dogs.
Sometimes it’s not about what you can learn from someone it’s who you learn it by.
Nova was the peak that pushed me to go to school, learn how to properly handle, and become the trainer I am today.
She didn’t just become part of this company she helped build it. 🐾🧬

🐾 MEET NOVA 🐶 TRAINER KYLE’S PERSONAL DOG! 🐾

For those who don’t know, this beautiful girl is Nova, our trainer Kyle’s personal dog! 🖤
Nova has years of extensive training under her belt, including French Ring and PSA training, with the goal of working toward her PSA titles in the coming year. 💪🏼🐕

But what many people don’t realize is that one of Nova’s biggest accomplishments is her work as a cadaver detection dog.
Nova has successfully assisted in a real missing-person case and helped bring a family the closure they desperately needed after their loved one went missing. 🖤

At only 1 and half years old, Nova has accomplished things that are truly incredible and behind that achievement are years of dedication, countless hours of training, consistency, and an unimaginable amount of work from our trainer, Kyle.
For privacy reasons, we have scratched out certain names and information because Kyle previously worked for another company. However, actual case and information can be found through a simple Google search.

We love sharing not only the accomplishments of the dogs we work with, but also the incredible work our trainers and their own dogs have accomplished.
Kyle has dedicated so much of his life to training, working with dogs, helping families, and giving back to the community. We are incredibly proud to have him as part of Paw-sitive Academy. 🐾

Meet Samson! 🐾
Today we took Samson to his local Petco to work through real world distractions while maintaining control. Whether it's a four legged friend or a two legged stranger nearby, our dogs learn that our rules and cues always come first.
When Samson first started with us, he struggled with male to male aggression. Through consistent training and clear communication, we've made tremendous progress. Now we're taking the next step by working on his barking and reactivity at the fence line with the neighbor's dog.
Samson is an incredibly smart dog with a strong drive to work, and that mindset is helping him succeed every session. We're proud of the progress he's made, and we're excited to keep building his confidence, obedience, and neutrality in every environment.
