Stosh, a dapper tuxedo and Marigold, a beautiful calico, are a bonded pair with an estimated birthdate of 5/18/2024. They are happy, curious cats who love to interact with their foster humans. Their hobbies include eating, sleeping, and playing; they especially love their feather wand toys and cat tree. Stosh was born without a rear right paw, but he doesn’t let this hold him back!

Stosh and Marigold were rescued at birth from a farm by a PPAH rescue partner.

Meet little Miss Charlie. Born approximately 8/22/2023, she is a lovely brown and white tabby. This little girl loves to play! Wand toys and laser pointers are her favorite interactive play items, but she also enjoys playing independently with toy mice—so kitten-like and cute! Despite her shy nature, Charlie does not hide. She likes to be where everyone else is hanging out and even comes into the office to nap while her foster mom works. She also loves playing with her foster’s resident cat. Charlie is very food motivated and loves squeezable treats!

Charlie was found by a rescue partner and brought inside to be cared for.
She is afraid of being touched, but her foster is making slow progress with her; she will now allow pets on her lower back and sometimes will even purr a bit!

Charlie loves playing with her foster’s resident cat and benefits from other felines’ companionship. Therefore, Charlie needs to be adopted into a home with another cat for companionship. If you are looking for a companion for your cat, Charlie is your girl. To our knowledge, Charlie has not been exposed to dogs.

Zeus is a playful and mischievous male brown tabby (estimated DOB: 7/9/2024). After a round of playtime, he will happily enjoy a cuddly evening on the couch. Zeus is a bit shy and needs a short adjustment period to get used to his surroundings. Once he gets acclimated, he is a total sweetheart. Zeus is being fostered with his sister, Athena. They are not bonded but can be adopted together.

We rescued Zeus along with his mom and 4 other siblings on the far southside of Chicago. His mom gave birth on a hot summer day next to a dumpster. A concerned neighbor brought them in and reached out to us for help.

Zeus is initially timid around other cats but warms up to them over time. He has not been exposed to dogs.

All kittens must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with another young cat with which he or she can play and socialize. The majority of no-kill rescues nationwide adhere to this policy. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions, rather it ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development.

Athena is a friendly female brown tabby (estimated DOB: 7/9/2024) who is already a lap cat! She is the type who wants to be held while you are moving around the house. She is very chatty and truly loves attention. Athena is brave and playful with other cats and enjoys their company.

We rescued Athena along with her mom and 4 other siblings on the far southside of Chicago. Her mom gave birth on a hot summer day next to a dumpster. A concerned neighbor brought them in and reached out to us for help.

While Athena and her brother, Zeus, aren’t bonded, they would do well in a home together. Athena has never been exposed to dogs. We expect she would do just fine in a home with gentle children.

Meet Tina & Bebe – A Resilient and Loving Mother-Daughter Duo .?
Bonded Pair – Must Be Adopted Together

About Tina & Bebe:

Tina is a brave and beautiful medium to long-haired tuxedo mama who showed incredible trust and love when she approached a kind human for help—pregnant and caring for her kittens on the streets. Though malnourished, Tina gave birth to one surviving kitten, her spirited daughter Bebe (DOB of 9/11/2024), and together they've been thriving in foster care.

Tina is a gentle soul who enjoys long naps, gazing out the window, and batting around her favorite toys. She loves being pet and scratched and has a calm, nurturing presence. Tina is around 4 years old with an estimated DOB is 9/21/2020.

Bebe, on the other hand, is a ball of energy and joy! This playful little tuxedo girl is always on the move, chasing toys, exploring, and greeting every visitor with enthusiasm. She's the first to jump into your lap and will keep you endlessly entertained with her kitten antics.

Their bond is beautiful to witness—Bebe's boldness brings out Tina's playful side, and Tina's calm reassures Bebe. Together, they're the perfect balance of sweet and spunky. They are bonded and need to be adopted together.

The ideal home for this dynamic duo is a loving, stable home where Tina can relax and Bebe can play to her heart's content. These two will bring warmth, laughter, and love to the lucky person who welcomes them home.

Both are spayed, vaccinated, and litter box trained.

Say hello to Butch, an incredibly affectionate brown and white tabby (estimated DOB: 2/14/2025). Butch loves to lay on your lap while you work or watch a movie. He also loves to play and especially likes running through tunnel tubes with his friends and catching some toys. Butch is very curious but would love to explore with the one he loves most. You can always find him nearby. He’ll let you know how he feels with a meow or a little growl when he’s really into a toy (don’t worry, he’s all bark and no bite). Butch does great with others and would benefit from having a role model or buddy to burn energy with.

Basil is a friendly, sweet, domestic shorthair tabby cat born 6/20/2025. She is a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, watch out! She’s energetic, incredibly cute, and is always entertaining her foster family with her comical antics. Basil will “yell” at you if you forget to keep petting her, so be sure to give her lots of love!

BONDED SISTERS

Miss Maggie is a beautiful long hair brown tabby girl with an approximate birth date of 07/02/2020. She adores being brushed and hiding under blankets in equal measure! She is the more timid of the two with a fear of vacuum cleaners and thunder and will run and hide when fearful. Maggie will politely ask for pets from you by putting her paw on you. She will sleep in your bed, but she does not like to be picked up. She is always looking for a place to lounge or a bed to snuggle on.

Ruby is a talkative orange tabby girl with an approximate birth date of 12/20/2020. Her golden eyes match her fur perfectly! Ruby is more outgoing than her sister, but is also afraid of loud noises. Everyone in Ruby's life is a friend, and if she could be loved on all day she would be in heaven. She does not like to be picked up but loves being petted .She will bring a treat packet to you when she wants one; and a toy to you when she wants to play. Ruby also enjoys sharpening her claws on her banana scratching board. We hear from her former family that she loves bird videos. Ruby is an outgoing girl you will love having in your home.

Even though the girls are bonded, they do not always snuggle with each other. In typical cat behavior, they get occasional zoomies at night. Feeding them is a breeze and they graze on their food, never overeating. They are both super sweet and love naps on soft blankets & in front of a sunny window.

They would be great in a home with or without kids. Since these girls are accustomed to being with only each other, they are not fond of other cats and need to be the only pets in your home.

BONDED TRIPOD PAIR

Meet Leotie and Flounder, an irresistible bonded pair of black cats (estimated DOB: 5/13/2025). Leotie is an adorable kitten with a sleek black coat. Her foster family describes her as very talkative and attention-seeking. She’s quite tech-savvy and enjoys playing video games on her iPad. Flounder loves kicker toys and making biscuits with his one front paw. One of Flounder‘s favorite activities is perching on your shoulder like a parrot, especially if you let him play with your hair! Leotie and Flounder’s foster parents have also worked on carrier training and nail trimming. They are both big cuddle bugs and enjoy lap time with their foster parents. Leotie and Flounder have been in the same foster home for a few months, and they love to play, nap, and watch bird and fish TV together. They are both an absolute joy to foster and will make their future adopters so happy!

Both Leotie and Flounder are tripods. A Good Samaritan brought Leotie to VEG ER for Pets with a serious injury to one of her limbs. Turns out, Leotie had an old left hip luxation, and her left back leg was amputated. Flounder had a traumatic injury to his left brachial plexus, and his front left leg was amputated. They have both healed up well and get around like any other kitten their age.

Leotie and Flounder have become very comfortable with the dogs in their foster home. These are senior dogs who are very cat-friendly and gentle.

Sunny Boy is a handsome fellow with fabulous coloring! He's a wonderful mix of white with patches of buff (light orange) and is estimated to be born around mid-December of 2020.

Sunny was rescued from the streets by one of our rescue partners recently and has since been fully vetted. He's ready now for a home of his own and lots of attention.

He has kittens to play with occasionally in his foster home, but makes it clear that he'd like more time and love from a human, who can pet and spoil him. He hasn't had any exposure to kids. He's very chatty and energetic and would to love to share his experiences with you while you pet him. If you're busy, he loves his toys, too. Now that Sonny is safe and warm. let's make his life sunny with a forever home.
