ITCHY PET AWARENESS MONTH

That’s right folks, August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month! Blooms wants you to know that we take your pet’s skin and coat health seriously. Here’s some tips and products that Blooms uses and recommends to make sure your pet looks and feels their best!

🐾 Overcome with furry tumbleweeds in your house? 🌪️🐶
That soft, fine layer of fur underneath your dog’s outer coat is called the undercoat. It sheds year-round, and for some breeds—especially Huskies—it can turn into a MASSIVE blowout twice a year!

As that loose hair works its way out, it can tickle the skin and cause dogs to become itchy and uncomfortable. If your pup is dealing with excessive shedding or a seasonal coat blowout, a DeShed treatment can help!

Our specialized shampoo and conditioner help loosen the excess undercoat, allowing that loose fur to release and be removed much more easily during the grooming process.

While a DeShed treatment won’t stop shedding forever, it can greatly reduce the amount of fur that ends up on your furniture, floors, clothes—and floating around your home! 🛋️✨
Less fur on your furniture, happier pups, and a cleaner home. It’s a win-win! 💕🐕

Due to the stressors to our furry friends we will be closed on the 4th. Some tips to help them stay calm:
Play music or put on some white noise, wraps and vests such as thunder shirts, lick mats, dog earmuffs, weighted blanket, comfort your dog and remember to stay calm allow your dog the space to hide if that’s what they need. Good luck out there and happy 4th!
