Leo’s very first grooming appointment was one we’ll remember. 💙
When we first arrived, he wasn’t quite sure about us and actually walked farther back into the house because he was a little nervous. That’s completely okay, and exactly why we never rush the process.
For first time puppies, we work at their pace, introducing every grooming tool, sound, and new experience slowly so they can build confidence and learn that grooming is a safe, positive experience.
Today we gave him a light trim around his face and feet along with a sanitary trim, keeping his first experience positive and stress free while he learned the grooming process.
By the end of his appointment, the sweetest thing happened. Instead of wanting to get away from us, Leo actually tried to follow us back into the trailer. Moments like that are why we love what we do. Building trust and creating positive grooming experiences from the very beginning helps set puppies up for a lifetime of successful grooming.
We can’t wait to watch Leo grow into a confident grooming pro. 🐾💙
