🐸🌿 Living their BEST little froggy lives at Brigman Barn! 🌿🐸

Ren, Stimpy, Pinky & Brain are absolutely thriving in their big, fun froggy paradise! 💚 These four have SO much personality packed into those adorable little bodies.

You never know where you’re going to find them — climbing the walls like tiny ninjas, soaking in their water bowl like they booked a day at the spa 😂, tucked away inside their fake tree, or just hanging out somewhere looking ridiculously cute.

And can we talk about those COLORS?! 😍 Depending on their mood and environment, their colors can change, and sometimes they are the most gorgeous shades of green, blue-green and gray. Watching them grow into healthy, happy little frogs has been so much fun.

But one of our favorite things? Every night, they call out to us! 🐸🎶 Nothing says “life at Brigman Barn” quite like lying in bed and hearing your frogs croaking away. 😂

Ren, Stimpy, Pinky & Brain may be little, but they are quickly becoming some of our favorite characters around here. 💚

🐐🐴🐷 “DAD’S HERE!!! EVERYBODY ACT NORMAL!” 😂❤️

After spending the day out enjoying the grass pasture, you’d think this crew would be perfectly content.

Absolutely not. 😂

The second Dad walked into the pasture, the entire welcoming committee started heading his way. Goats, horses, cows, chickens, everybody … apparently everyone at Brigman Barn shares the same thought:

👀 “Dad has entered the pasture.”
👀 “Dad usually has food.”
👀 “DAD MUST HAVE SNACKS.”
🏃💨 “FOLLOW HIM!!!”

Unfortunately for them, Dad did not come bearing an all-you-can-eat buffet. 😂 But that didn’t stop them from following him around just in case something magically appeared in his pockets.

One of our favorite things about this crazy little herd is just how friendly and loving they are. ❤️ They genuinely enjoy being around us, getting scratches, following us around and, yes… occasionally attempting to manipulate us into providing second dinner. 😂

Around here, personal space is nonexistent and apparently Dad = snack dispenser.

Now we need to know… 😂👇

It’s been a really rough couple of days here at Brigman Barn. 💔

Farm life is NOT for the weak. When you open your heart and home to animals—especially rescues—you know that loss is part of the journey, but nothing ever prepares you for it.

Sadly, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize our sweet rescue Quaker parrot, Froggy, after he suffered an injury that simply couldn’t be fixed. 💙🦜 We wanted so badly for there to be another option, but ultimately loving him meant making the hardest decision for him.

And then today, our hearts broke all over again. We went out to the pasture and found our sweet Rigatoni had passed away. 💔 We truly have no idea what happened. Because Rigatoni was a rescue, we never knew his true age or much about his life before us. He had been eating, acting completely normal, and gave us no indication that anything was wrong.

These are the days that make rescue and farm life incredibly hard. You question everything. You replay everything. And you wish more than anything that they could tell you what happened.

But one thing we do know is that Froggy and Rigatoni knew love. They knew full bellies, safety, kindness, and a home where they mattered. They weren’t “just animals” here. They were part of our family and part of the beautiful chaos that makes Brigman Barn what it is.

Sometimes we don’t get nearly enough time with the animals who find their way to us. We just get the privilege of loving them for whatever time we’re given.

Rest easy, Froggy & Rigatoni. 🌈💙
I hope wherever you are, you’re whole, happy, and free.

At least they knew love. And they will always be loved. ❤️‍🩹

🥒🥦🥕🫛🥬 A little glimpse into mornings at Brigman Barn! 🐢🐰🐹🦎 💚

Believe it or not, what you see here is only about ¼ of the bowls I prepare each morning! 😂 Between the bunnies, tortoises, reptiles, Patagonian cavies, and the rest of our crew, breakfast prep around here is basically a full-blown salad bar. 🥗

Needless to say… we go through A LOT of fresh veggies! 😂

I want to give a HUGE shoutout to one of my amazing friends who recently gave us a bunch of cucumbers to help feed the babies. 🥒❤️ When you’re feeding this many little mouths, things like that truly help more than you know!

🌱 If you ever find yourself with more fresh produce than you can use, Brigman Barn would LOVE to put it to good use!

Maybe your garden produced 400 cucumbers overnight. 😂 Maybe you bought too much lettuce. Maybe you have extra greens, herbs, peppers, squash, zucchini, carrots, or other fresh produce that you know you aren’t going to finish before it goes bad.

Before you toss it, think of us! 💚

We will gladly accept fresh fruits and vegetables to help feed the many animals we’ve rescued and now call family. 🐰🐢🐹🦎

🐸💚 NEW ADDITIONS AT BRIGMAN BARN! 💚🐸

Our little family just got FOUR frogs bigger… and we are completely obsessed! 😍

Meet our incredible White’s Tree Frogs:

🐸 Ren
🐸 Stimpy
🐸 Brain
🐸 Pinky

We decided these four needed a little 90s cartoon nostalgia with their names! 📺😂 Who else immediately knows exactly where these names came from?!

These guys are SO fascinating to watch. They have the most beautiful colors, the cutest little faces, and let me tell you… they LOVE to eat. 😂🪱 Watching them hunt might be one of our new favorite forms of entertainment!

And apparently they have opinions about bedtime, too. 😂 We can hear them croaking at night and in the early morning, which just adds another interesting sound to the Brigman Barn chaos!

🌿 FUN FROGGY FACTS:

🐸 White’s Tree Frogs are also known as Dumpy Tree Frogs — probably one of the cutest names ever.

🌏 They are native to Australia and New Guinea.

🎨 Their color can vary from gorgeous greens to blue-green, teal and even brownish shades depending on things like temperature, environment and activity.

🧗 Those adorable little toes have specialized pads that help them climb and stick to surfaces.

🌙 They are primarily nocturnal, so nighttime is when the party really gets started.

🦗 They are insectivores with VERY healthy appetites. If it moves and looks snack-sized, they’re interested. 😂

🎶 The males are the big singers of the group and use their calls to communicate — so those nighttime croaks actually have a purpose!

White’s Tree Frogs are known for being relatively calm, curious little frogs, and we’re already loving getting to know each one’s personality. 💚

🐰BUNNY CUDDLE TIME AT BRIGMAN BARN! 🐶

One of my favorite things is giving our bunnies some one-on-one time outside of their homes so they can explore, cuddle, socialize…and apparently hang out with the little dogs. 😂

This time it was Spice, Cappuccino & Latte’s turn! 🐰🐰🐰

And let me tell you—the little dogs were VERY interested in their fluffy friends. 😂 Thankfully, the feeling seemed pretty mutual! There was lots of sniffing, investigating, snuggling, and general adorable chaos. ❤️

I absolutely LOVE watching each bunny’s personality grow as they get more comfortable with us. 🥹 Some are brave little explorers, some want to investigate everything, and others are perfectly content to settle in for cuddles. Getting to know who they are individually is one of the best parts of having them here.

After all, at Brigman Barn, every animal has a story worth sharing. ❤️

🐌✨ SNAIL MAIL from Brigman Barn! ✨🐌

Okay… can we talk about how ridiculously cute these little faces are?! 😂 Those tiny eye stalks, chunky shells, and the fact that they are always very slowly on a mission somewhere absolutely crack me up.

Our garden snails may not be the biggest or loudest animals at Brigman Barn, but they are SO fascinating to watch. 💚 And yes… I absolutely take way too many pictures of snails. 😂

🐌 A few fun snail facts:
✨ Those long tentacles on their heads have their eyes at the tips!
✨ Their shorter tentacles help them smell and feel their surroundings.
✨ Snails have thousands of microscopic teeth on a tongue-like structure called a radula. 😳
✨ Their slime isn’t just for being slimy—it helps protect their bodies and allows them to glide across rough surfaces.
✨ And despite their reputation, when you actually sit and watch them, they are surprisingly BUSY little creatures!

We currently have 8 garden snails at Brigman Barn, appropriately named Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner & Blitzen. 🎄🐌 Because apparently even our snails needed a theme. 😂

🐸 CHONKY FROG ALERT 🐍😂

Yes… my African bullfrog’s name is Snake. And yes… I’m about to bless your feed with pictures of his chunky little frog butt. 🍑🐸

Snake is one of those animals who is so ugly that he circles all the way back around to being ridiculously cute. 😂 Look at that face. Look at those rolls. Look at that BUTT. He looks permanently offended that I exist, and I absolutely adore him.

🐸 A few fun African bullfrog facts:
• African bullfrogs are one of the largest frog species in the world — males can get especially BIG and chunky!
• They are serious little predators and will attempt to eat almost anything they can fit in their mouths. 😳
• During dry conditions, they can burrow underground and enter a dormant state called estivation until conditions improve.
• Despite their potato-like appearance, they can be surprisingly fast when food is involved. 😂
• Male African bullfrogs are actually devoted dads! They guard their tadpoles and may even dig channels to help them reach water. 🥹
• And those little “teeth” you may see? African bullfrogs have tooth-like structures called odontoids on their lower jaw. Snake may look like a squishy potato, but he comes equipped. 😂

🐰☕️ MEET THE NEWEST MEMBERS OF THE BRIGMAN BARN FAMILY! ☕️🐰

Our bunny family just got a whole lot floppier… and apparently we’ve opened a coffee shop. 😂🤎

We are so excited to introduce our FOUR new Holland Lops — two handsome boys and two beautiful girls! These little buns are already stealing hearts around here. 🥹

☕️ CAPPUCCINO — Our white & brown boy with the most gorgeous BLUE eyes 💙
🥛 LATTE — Our sweet grey & white boy 🤍🩶
☕️ JAVA — Our beautiful girl with different shades of brown and another pair of stunning BLUE eyes 🤎💙
🤎 CHAI — Our adorable little tan girl who is just as sweet as her name!

All four are incredibly sweet, curious little souls who LOVE to cuddle, explore and investigate everything around them. 🐰💕 We have a feeling they’re going to be pretty popular members of the Brigman Barn crew!

✨ FUN HOLLAND LOP FACTS! ✨

🐰 Holland Lops are one of the smallest lop-eared rabbit breeds — adults typically only weigh around 2–4 pounds!

👂 Those adorable floppy ears are one of their signature features, but baby Holland Lops aren’t always born with perfectly dropped ears. Their ears can take a little time to fully “lop!”

💨 Don’t let those tiny bodies fool you — Holland Lops can be FAST and love to run, jump, explore and do happy little bunny “binkies!”

🦷 Like all rabbits, their teeth never stop growing, which is one reason having plenty of hay and safe things to chew is so important.

👀 Rabbits have nearly 360-degree vision, helping them keep an eye on what’s happening around them.

💕 Holland Lops are known for being social, curious and full of personality — and these four are definitely living up to that reputation!

💦 It’s officially SPA DAY at Brigman Barn! 😂❤️

Who knew our feathered giant Rigatoni the Rhea and fluffy queen Velveeta the Alpaca were such water lovers?! Their favorite human (Dad 🥰) broke out the hose, and let’s just say… neither one was in a hurry for water time to end!

I swear these two think they’re at a luxury animal resort. 🤣
