The best thing about Bamtastic is itā€™s customizable! Last week I was working with this client and we were chatting about my most recent trip to the lake with my dogs. How one lady wouldnā€™t let her dogs swim because my dogs were there simply because her dogs had no control. Her dogs would just run over to any and all dogs who were out there. My personal Dogs have all been taught that we ignore everyone else when we swim! There is no bringing toys to other people, no swimming up to other dogs. We hang out together, enjoy our time together. Everything doesnā€™t matter. People can swim and have their dogs 10 feet away from my pack and my dogs will not go up to them. This client ended up saying she wished her dog could be that neutral at the lake as he is a very happy boy and just wants to have a good time. So I said ā€œwell then letā€™s go work on that!ā€ I brought my most water obsessed, neutral dog Crash and we simply started building the behavior of ignoring every thing around us while we swim. Both dogs had never met, ever said hello to each other, Sat at a picnic table and ignored each other and slowly got closer to each other as the training session progressed. We have plans to do this again.

First picture was taken Sep 25 2024. When I tell you this dream has been brewing for a few years I truly mean it! My family, my friends and even friends of friends has poured our hearts into this project and I cannot wait to show you! We have taken an empty building and turned it into something so special. The one who started this whole dream. BAM! šŸ§”The orange dog in the logo. Bam is a 3 year old working kelpie. He came from NY when he was about 14 weeks old. I could write endless words about how special he is. I told his breeder I needed a new best friend, a dog that would travel with me all of the country as I went for a wold title with my horse. I wanted something that looked a little intimidating as Iā€™m normally alone. This dog has changed my whole life. He showed me that life could be better, fun and full even if I walked away from the horses. Heā€™s helped me through some tough mental struggles and has been my shadow from the day I picked him up. Bam believes that if heā€™s not sitting or laying on you heā€™s simply not close enough! If you cry he licks away the tears. He is a pretend farm dog as he HATES laying in the dirt.. or even on the floor for that matter. He lives a very comfortable life, as he has given me mine back. I could go on forever but basically, his soul is my soul and he is the reason we do what we do. This company is named after him, so that way he lives foreveršŸ§”

Crash šŸ’š the green dog in our logo! Crash is a four year old working kelpie. He came to us just over two years ago from a kelpie breeder friend of mine out in NY. Crash was returned to the breeder for things that were not his fault. He came back pretty mentally messed up. My friend had him several months and decided she wanted to try to find him a quieter home life. I had originally said no to bring him home when she reached out. After several months of chatting, I decided to meet him. It was instantly a yes! Because how can you say no to his face! We have spent the last two years letting him unlearn his past. Letting him learn how to be a dog not a performance machine. He has been given basically free rein to be whoever he his and He is the happiest GOOFIEST boy you will ever meet! His drive to make you happy is unmatched. He lives for his ball and to swim! Car rides are still a bit of a trigger for him but he is becoming more and more comfortable. His dog neutrality is truly something special. When people meet all my dogs he is almost always the favorite šŸ’š

Meet the pink dog in the logo! Flirt šŸ©·
Flirt is the youngest personal dog here at BAMtastic K9. She was born in TX and came to MI at 8 weeks old. She is a Working Kelpie and has been a party girl from the day she was born, New Yearā€™s Eve of 24! She is my wild child, she has big feelings about life and I think she believes she is a Belgian Maliois in Kelpie form. Her drive is high, she lives to play any and all forms of games, will problem solve fast and then simply do whatever answer she believes is correct. She loves forcefully and does not care about your feelings. She LIVES to be in the water, for a game of tug and has traveled thousands of miles in her short life. Flirt was bought with some specific goals in mind and I am hoping to get her into some sports this winter! She was raised very slowly, allowed to grow up and to let herself develop. I have put blood, sweat and tears into helping her become the dog she is. I wouldnā€™t change my spicy girl for anything
