Home from the UKC Eastern Classic. We had a great two days! Arti (UCH Canami Street Artist at GrapeView FDC CGC TKN SPOT-ON) won the champion class, was Best Of Breed and Group 3 the first show yesterday under Judge Kathy Russell. Today under Judge Tina Camp Arti won the champiom class again (with no competition). Under Judge Larry Hanson in the first show today Demi (GrapeView Dancing On The River) was awarded Best of Breed in novice puppy. We didn't stay for Novice Puppy BIS as we had a 6 hour drive home. Of the 4 shelties entered, each got a Bsst of Breed and a group placement the last 2 days. It was great to share the pie all the way around! Demi was a Rockstar, she travels well and loves to play show dog. She even managed to go all the way around the ring, a down and back and free stacked (which she nailed!) without stopping to itch (those pesky collars!)

I'm a body guy (I mean look at my physique!) A properly built and angulated body is hard to not notice, even with wonky ears! A beautiful free stack is the result of proper proportions and angles and body structure. Both Arti and Demi have beautiful movement, they float along with ease. I am thankful that miss Arti has a rockin' body and passed it on to her daughter. Demi also inherited a little more softness to her face and under jaw from her sire, Ensign (Canami Coast Guard FDC *AKC Pointed*). Overall I am pleased with this breeding and look forward to watching Demi mature.

Day one of NYS Grand Finals is complete. In show A, GrapeView Elsa picked up a Best Black/Best of Breed, with GrapeView Nemo going Best of Opposite S*x. GCH GrapeView Enizio was Best of Variety Blue and GrapeView Kanga was Best Opposite Blue. GrapeView Flora picked up Best Black/Best of Breed show B with GCH GrapeView Quattroporte going Best of Opposte S*x, and GCH GrapeView Enizio going Best Opposite Blue to a pretty little blue doe (by GCH BT's Rebelution) bred and owned by Gail Smith. As usual it was a great time. I've really missed my rabbit family.

It's official, Demi, GrapeView Dancing On The River (Canami Coast Guard FDC CGC [AKC Pointed] ex UCH Canami Street Artist at GrapeView FDC CGC TKN SPOT-ON *AKC POA*) is entered in her first BPUP show in Hamburg, NY in a couple weeks! This is in preparation for her specialty debut at the CNYSSC specialty in November.

We are so excited to see where this new adventure takes us. She has a lovely body and a soft, feminine and expressive face with BEAUTIFUL effortless movement (one of my biggest focal points in a dog). She's not perfect but she's ours and we are excited to watch her grow and mature as the next step at GrapeView Farms and Shetland Sheepdogs.

Arti, UCH Canami Street Artist at GrapeView FDC CGC TKN SPOT-ON *AKC POA* (AM GCH CH Can CH Lynphil Persona ex AM GCH CH Country Lane Grafitti CGC) is also entered and excited to step into the ring again. She's my tried and true, ride or die, my partner in crime. Bred by Amanda Inzinna, Mitchell Fox & Matthew Fox owned by Mandy and myself. I can't thank you all enough for trusting me to raise her and love her. She's a delight (most days 😉) and I wouldn't trade her for anything.

Rabbit friends headed to Ohio Mini convention next weekend, I have a friend who was in a bad car accident near Dayton and her car was totaled, her chickens (I think primarily batam cochins) are still in OH. Would anyone be willing to transport back for them? Message me please!
