As temperatures start to drop, please remember that hay is for horses and ✨STRAW is for STRAYS.✨

If you're helping keep a community cat or outdoor working cat warm and safe this winter, it is imperative that you use the proper bedding. Using straw in cat shelters provides warmth and stays dry, offering a safe and cozy spot for outdoor cats. Unlike blankets or hay, straw resists moisture, reducing the risk of freezing or mold. Avoid blankets, towels, or hay, as they trap moisture and can become dangerously cold in wet or freezing conditions and can cause a cat to freeze to death.

This beauty is Penelope. She's the most timid of the kitties from the Odyssey litter, but her foster reports that she's slowly making progress. As she has started to trust her human more, she is now able to spend the day in the kitty condo, before returning to her crate for the night. She bunks with sister Calypso, who is helping her learn that humans are safe.

Penelope and Calypso will stay with their current foster for a bit longer as they socialize, but we trust that she will soon be ready for adoption!

The kittens who were discovered by a hiker on a remote trail found their forever home not too long ago! Ozzie & Blondie, now known as Murphy and Bella, have settled in nicely with their new family. Just as they were with their foster, they remain super sweet purr machines and love napping with their humans! 🥰 Their family shared that the kittens thunder through the house full speed and sound like little ponies! 😂

We're incredibly happy for both the kittens and their new family! Thank you to all who got the kittens here--their rescuer, our foster coordinator, their foster, their vet, our social media coordinator, their adopters, and, of course, our community members who donate and support our work!

A new amazing little guy is incoming! Check out that handsome face and adorable sploot! This is Cirillo.

Cirillo decided he was ready to be rescued. He moved onto a local's porch and then shortly moved into her home. While he doesn't enjoy being held, he's a very loving cat and we think he probably had humans once. Unfortunately, exhaustive efforts did not lead to finding his original family and so, we will be finding a new one for him!

We think this guy has been on the street for a while. As a currently intact male, he has been used to defending his territory, so we're wondering if he might be better as a solo cat. However, we'll see how he does after he gets fixed this week!

It has been chilly lately, so we can't blame Pollyanna for absolutely loving the heater! Just imagine yourself curled up with this little girl under a fuzzy blanket!

Like her brother, Pauly, Pollyanna also loves chasing a laser and wrestling with her bro. She has been doing really well and will be available for adoption soon. Stay tuned!

A HUGE thank you to Gleaning For The World for their recent donation of winterized cat houses for our community cats!

They provided us with quite a few houses in a couple different sizes. The houses contain thermostatically controlled heating pads and are fully insulated and waterproofed! We know they will help save many feline lives this winter!

Sweet little Pauly is taking advantage of his extra toes as he wrestles his kicker! 😆 This fun guy loves to play hide and seek with his sister and resident cats! He also absolutely loves a laser and will stay entertained until he wears himself out and needs a nap. Pauly is putting in weight and, overall, is doing just great! We're waiting on his final vet check-up and we hope to have him available for adoption soon!
