📚Poppa’s story, as best we know, started in a Walmart parking lot where he and his siblings were being sold first come first serve, because apparently some people think puppies are clearance items. 😔

Poppa’s former owner bought him and truly tried her best. She cared about him, but she was a first time dog owner and Poppa turned out to be a whole lot of dog, personality, energy, and doodle all in one package. She realized she was not the right fit for what he needed, so she allowed us to take him so we can help find the perfect home for him.

💙Poppa is a 2yr old labradoodle around 52 lbs of fun!

He is up to date on shots and will be getting neutered soon. He seems to have something minor going on with one leg that we will check while he is under, but this has not stopped him from running, jumping, playing, and acting like he has zero concerns in life.

Poppa is your typical doodle.
🤗 Loves everyone, Loves everything. Likely would love a burglar if they entered nicely 🙈

Poppa is full of joy. You can see it in his pictures. He looks like the type of dog who thinks every single day is the best day of his life.

He loves people and dogs. He loves kids too, but because of his size and enthusiasm, children over 7 may be the better fit unless your younger child enjoys being body checked by happiness.

He is housebroken, but may mark in a new place, so a belly band for a few days would be smart.

He is crate trained, but may sing a short song of disappointment when you first leave him before forgetting what he was upset about.

He has done great in the car and is good on leash.

Poppa is an awesome dog, but like every dog, he needs the right home to truly have the best life possible.
🏡 His future family must have:

(1) Love for him on a serious level

(2) At least one very playful dog because Poppa believes everyone should be playing at all times

(3) A good size fully fenced yard

(4) An active family willing to play with him, walk him, or both

(5) Willingness to work on a few doodle behaviors such as over excitement and barking at bikes like they owe him money

Poppa’s owner gave us the chance to help him, and we are committed to finding him the absolute best home. For a dog this awesome, that should not be hard.

Ditch the food bowl!! Meals should double as enrichment, especially for puppies. Brain food as they develop! Added bonus: mentally tired pup ready for a nap after eating🙌🏼

This puppy mom did an amazing job buying new puppy supplies with enrichment in mind! How many of these do you have for your pup? And can you recommend others to add?

Georgie’s yard has standard aluminum fencing that he could easily slip through. Enter the Puppy Bumper! Soft and easy to wear, no big deal to the pups, but keeps Georgie safely contained in his yard. Such a smart idea.
