A NEW LOOK FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER OF NORTH MECK ANIMAL RESCUE ๐พ
Every rescue has a beginning.
Ours began in 1998 with one woman who saw animals in need and chose to help.
Beth Phillips founded North Meck Animal Rescue with a heart for animals and a belief that every life deserves compassion, safety, and a second chance. What began as a small effort in North Mecklenburg grew into a mission that has saved countless lives and brought animals and families together.
When Beth moved to Little Switzerland, the rescue did not leave its roots behind. Instead, the mission grew new ones. Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, Beth led an extraordinary animal-focused emergency response effort, helping animals and families throughout the affected mountain communities. She continued leaving a lasting footprint on the lives of animals around her while keeping the rescueโs work alive in the community where it all began.
Today, North Meck Animal Rescueโs impact reaches far beyond North Mecklenburg. We are supported by devoted fosters and volunteers throughout Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, and Union counties, as well as Marion, Little Switzerland, and surrounding mountain communities.
As our reach has grown, so has our rescue family.
Over the past two years, cats have become an important part of the North Meck Animal Rescue family. We have welcomed them into foster homes, provided medical care, and helped them find loving families alongside the dogs we have served for years.
Now, it is time for our logo to reflect the full heart of our mission.
This is an exciting new chapter for our rescue, and our new logo was created to tell that story.
The dog and cat represent every animal now at the heart of our mission. The Carolinas represent how far our work has grown beyond North Mecklenburg.
This logo is more than a new look. It represents where we began, who we are today, and the future we are working to create.
None of this growth would be possible without our volunteers.
North Meck Animal Rescue is powered by people who open their homes and hearts to animals in need. Our volunteers foster, transport animals, coordinate medical care, review applications, support adopters, raise funds, attend events, and step forward whenever an animal needs help.
We do not have a traditional shelter. Our animals live in foster homes, where they receive medical care, patience, safety, and the opportunity to experience what it means to be loved while waiting for their forever families.
To our donors, thank you for believing in our mission and giving us the resources to continue it. Your generosity helps provide veterinary care, food, medications, supplies, and lifesaving second chances for animals in need.
To everyone who has volunteered, fostered, adopted, attended an event, donated, or shared our animals, thank you. Every life saved and every community reached has been possible because someone like you said, โI can help.โ
We also believe rescue should bring communities together. Throughout the year, we partner with local businesses and supporters to host fundraisers and special events. Every meal purchased, donation made, event attended, and post shared helps provide another chance for an animal in need.
