Hello, Friends. Unfortunately, I have some sad news. I had to retire from my Dog Training business to care for my now 92-year-old father. Although it has been the most difficult thing I have ever done, it has been a labor of love. I miss my clients and their furry companions. Thank you for your support throughout the 25 years I was in business. They were some of the best years of my life. Love and miss you.

Hello friends and clients. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 Pandemic has lasted much longer than any of us could have imagined. The widespread effect is overwhelming and unprecedented. Many people are currently out of work and a lot of businesses have had to shut their doors. Parents have had to take on additional responsibilities such as homeschooling their children. The mandated "stay at home" order is taking its financial and mental toll on many of us. I hope and pray we are able to bring this terrible disease to a more manageable conclusion soon and want to personally thank my dog training clients for their patience during this difficult ordeal. Be safe and stay healthy. We will get through this. I love and miss all of you and hope to return to some normalcy and consistency as soon as the preventive mandates are eased and it is safer for all of us.

Hello Friends. This is for my Dog Training clients on Facebook.

Considering the daily changes we are currently experiencing concerning the coronavirus and the impact it is having on all of us, it is probably best to err on the side of caution and temporarily discontinue training for a couple of weeks for your families safety and mine. Most of my clients have already temporarily discontinued their training programs as well as canceled upcoming vacations and boarding for their dogs. I am keeping everyone on the schedule at their usual times and am taking a wait and see approach. Hopefully this will come to some resolution within the next couple of weeks. My wife has even temporarily discontinued her work as a cashier at The Fresh Market due to her chronic pulmonary problems and being in a high- risk category. We have also cancelled our annual spring fishing trip and get together with friends. I will stay in contact with you and hope to be able to resume and begin training with you soon. Sorry for the inconvenience. Be safe.

Dog Training In Your Home also offers Protection Training. Clients must complete Basic as well as Advanced Obedience Training and exhibit total control of their dog on and off the leash before entering the Family Companion and Protection Training Program. A Protection Trained Dog should not be an aggressive dog. It should be a well trained dog that acts and protects out of a "Sense of Duty" in control and on command.

It is essential that your dog gets a sufficient amount of exercise. Many behavioral problems with dogs are due to lack of stimulation. Taking your dog for a walk is good but its not the same as running those legs off. A great way to accomplish this is a game of "Fun Fetch" as demonstrated by Gracie the Black Goldendoodle. She is the first black Goldendoodle I have trained.
