🐾 TWILIGHT RETRIEVERS — STARTED PUPPY AVAILABLE 🐾

Sometimes, even in the world of breeding, a boy just isn’t quite as interested in the ladies as we need him to be. ❤️

So, we are looking for the perfect home for our handsome Wh**ey, a black male from Raven & Gus, born January 15, 2024.

Wh**ey is an absolutely great guy. He is beautiful, has a wonderful personality, and has been a special part of our Twilight Retrievers family. He simply hasn’t shown the interest in the girls that we would like to see from a breeding male, so we have made the decision to rehome him as a started puppy.

There was a whole lot of joy in the front yard last night! ❤️🐾

We spent the evening taking family photos, and Gavin and Rorie had so much fun running and playing with Hunter and Liam. Seeing them together is such a sweet reminder of why we love raising these incredible dogs.

We currently have one Yellow male and one Black female still available from Gavin & Rorie's litter. They would make wonderful started puppies and will be ready to head to their new homes in late August.

As many of you know, we carefully plan for the future of every dog here on our farm. Later this year, we will also be looking for the perfect retirement homes for Gavin and Rorie. They will be around 6 years old, and we'd love to begin talking with families now so we can find the right match for each of them.

This week we had to say goodbye to one of the very best girls.
Carport crossed over the rainbow bridge peacefully in her sleep, and for that we are so thankful. The kids were each able to tell her goodbye in their own special way, and that means more than words can say. ❤️
For 14 wonderful years, Carport was part of our family and part of the heart behind Twilight Retrievers. She touched so many of our Twilight families over the years, and we know so many of you loved her too.
We are incredibly grateful for every year, every puppy, every tail wag, and every memory she gave us. She had the very best life, and we will miss her dearly. 💔🌈

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there 💐🐾

We can’t have Twilight Retriever puppies without our Twilight Retriever mamas. Over the years we have been blessed with some truly incredible mothers…and a few that maybe weren’t quite cut out for the mom life 😂 (so Hunter stepped in as Mama instead).

No matter their personalities, we have loved every single one of them and the puppies they brought into the world. From first litters to seasoned mamas, they have helped shape Twilight Retrievers into what it is today. ❤️

Just to name a few of the amazing girls over the years:
Tie, Hannah, Rorie, Raven, Swan, Maple, Missy, Maddie, Kiss, Sassy, Flint Carport, Fig, Tempest, Peanut, and Mandie 🐶✨

This reel is for the girls who gave us sleepless nights, puppy piles, milk-drunk babies, and so many memories we will treasure forever.

🤍Long post, but worth the read 🤍
Some of those Lucky 7 puppies from Sassy and Frank have started heading home, and first up is this handsome boy. Meet Waylon 🐾 Isn’t he cute?
We wanted to give everyone a quick update on the puppies we currently have available, where we are in training (individual emails will be sent to everyone with a puppy in training) and a few available adults as well.
Life has been incredibly full the last few months, and we are doing our very best to stay in communication with everyone as consistently as possible. We are so grateful for the patience, kindness, and support so many of you continue to show us. We could definitely use a little extra grace and a few prayers right now.
Our three kids have needed a lot of us lately, and they will always come first.
Liam was diagnosed last year with CRPS and has faced several challenges this year, which has meant more unplanned doctor visits, ER trips, physical therapy, and long days than we expected.
Hadleigh has high-functioning autism and attends therapy weekly, and making sure she has the support she needs is a top priority for us.
And Wilbur, while somehow still managing to be one of the biggest helpers around the house and farm, has now also managed to injure himself too 🤦‍♀️
It has been a season of stretching, balancing, and doing our best to be everything to everyone—our family, our dogs, and all of you.
That said, we do still have a few wonderful dogs available and ready for the right homes:

Happy Earth Day from Twilight Retrievers 🌎🐾💚

Around here, Earth Day looks like muddy paws, long walks, and plenty of time spent outdoors doing what dogs love most.

There’s something special about watching puppies explore the world—every stick, every leaf, every new smell reminds you to slow down and appreciate the little things.

Days like today are a good reminder to unplug, step outside, and enjoy it all (your dog will thank you for it 🐶)

Practicing with our service dog vests today 🤍

What does it really take to become a service dog?
It all starts with a strong foundation.

Before any of our puppies begin specialized training, they go through our Started Puppy Program—where we focus on building confidence, trust, and real-world readiness.

That means exposure to new environments, new sounds, and even something as simple (but important!) as wearing a vest they’ve never had on before. We never want their “firsts” to happen with their new family—we want them prepared and comfortable every step of the way.

Our program focuses heavily on:
✨ Crate training
✨ Leash work
✨ Basic obedience

Because a well-trained service dog starts with a solid, thoughtful beginning 🐶

Rories puppies are getting their 6 week shots today. Which is one step closer for them to be able to go home soon.
Sassy's babies all opened their eyes this weekend! Look at those peepers.

We would love for all the puppies to have a home by the time they are 8 weeks old.

Rorie's puppies go home at the end of March.

Sassy's puppies go home at the beginning of May.
