At one time we had in our collection upwards of 300 pair of breeding birds at the compound, all large species. We very quickly learned that conures and others were not what we wanted to breed and or keep. We focused on companion species that we thought made good household pets. We also incorporated a large amount of buildings to our own research on nutrition, breeding, advanced handfeeding techniques, advanced incubation procedures, mutation studies, rare species studies. With these programs in place and our resources we quickly became one of the most successful facilities in the USA. Our main focus was and still is, education to the bird owners and breeders about responsible ownership and to the breeders responsible breeding. We focus only on real species, we do not condone the breeding of or breed hybrids of any type for any reasons. As there is absolutely no logical reason for this practice of bloodline pollution. As real professional aviculturists we must try to promote the ownership of, the breeding of only pure species. There is no bird that is as beautiful as the god given species one sees flying overhead and in the jungles and in the natural ranges around the world.
