THE REAL.
Today, man. Today sucked. 💔
All before most went to school our volunteer team, didn’t save one life. We didn’t network one life. We couldn’t. We were bulldozed with drama and hardship.
Reality is. We shield you from the bad. We share it (sometimes) but we opt to protect you. We opt for it to not have you feel worse when you end your day. That’s our job. That’s rescue.
But today, we need our community to know.
Today:
- An adopter returned a dog. No worries we support our adopters and dogs and we understand. We have had 6 this month returned. Not what we are set up for but this adopter was kind and understood his limitations and we applaud him!
- Londyn still DOESN’T have a foster so we ARE CLOSED FROM SAVING ANYMORE LIVES 🤮- WE NEED ONE URGENTLY!
- 3 of 8 of the puppies we saved weeks ago, who were bottle babies then while mom was on the run, and covered in lice…remember them? They are due to go to rescue this week but 3, aren’t well and being watched around the clock. Unknown explanations and we are about to spend a lot to figure it out and pray they are just puppies and figuring out their health.
- Phoenix, formerly known as Rumba who was in active labor leaving the shelter, and lost so many babies prior or at our vet, and almost her life - lost a puppy today tragically. Failure to thrive. Our foster rushed her to the vet and she was fading. They said she did the death cry. A sound we will NEVER forget. A sound our foster will never either. We love you Pyra, 💔
All to see mom depressed and vomiting upon return because she knew. She wasnt sure where her baby went. But she knew….
- AND THE TOPPER, THE CHERRY FOR SURE.
A call from Animal Control. Our puppy who was adopted earlier this year ended up in a shelter. 8 hours away. OMG what happened? Well a whole day of lies, from the current adopter and plot twist we come to find out she surrendered him to AC, lied to everyone and told us he’s been lost, well if my dog was lost - I would run to that shelter in a millisecond. The news was welcomed with more lies, rudeness and blaming attempts. 😡
BECAUSE we have character we won’t blast her name all over this social platform.
OHHHH AND WE ARE OUT OF PUPPY FOOD. 😂
So we paid amazon to ensure that the 39 puppies in our care - get food. The very BIG BILL.
And rest in peace, Dolly Parton.
