🚨 NEW PARTNER CLINIC! 🚨

Dr. Danielle Yuhas, a board-certified Veterinary Cardiologist, and registered veterinary tech, Jackie, were invited into Manhattan Beach Animal Hospital for the first time recently to see this cutie, Gracie, and the team was so welcoming! 🎉🐾🐕

Dr. Yuhas had previously seen Gracie due to a syncope (fainting) and arrhythmias noted on an exam and performed a follow-up echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) on her. We are so proud of how well she did for her echo!

Thank you for giving Dr. Yuhas the opportunity to participate in the care of your furry patients! We look forward to collaborating again in the near future! 👏

This sweet boy is Benny. 🐶

Dr. Yuhas and Jackie met Benny at P.V Village Pet Hospital. He has a history of a heart murmur that was a louder on his most recent exam, so an echocardiogram (ultrasound of her heart) was performed to further investigate.

Benny's ECHO revealed he has Mitral Valve Disease & Tricuspid Valve Disease. Both conditions are common in older, smaller breed dogs but we hope with the initiation of medical therapy his condition can be managed for a long time.❤

We appreciate having the opportunity to participate in his care, and will be on the lookout for updates as Team LA monitors his progress! 🐶💜🐾

Dr. Danielle Yuhas and Jackie met with Attica at Ladera Pet Clinic to perform an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) due to a recently detected heart murmur and an enlarged heart. During his imaging, Dr. Yuhas discovered that Attica has Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM).

📚VetMed Fact: HOCM is a disease most commonly encountered in felines. The heart muscle becomes abnormally thick (hypertrophied), and this can block (obstruct) blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta (the body's main artery).

Dr. Yuhas recommended a treatment plan with medication to help manage his condition and we are looking forward to seeing Attica again in a few months to reassess his progress and response to therapy. 🐶

🚨 NEW PARTNER ALERT!🚨

Dr. Strachan and Jenn were invited into Lido Animal Hospital for the first time recently for an ultrasound and the team was amazing and so helpful! Alice, the hospital cat, greeted us as soon as we walked through the door and supervised part of the ultrasound for our fantastic patient, Cruz! 🐱🐾🐶

Starr has a smile that lights up the room, just look at that precious face! 😍

Dr. Danielle Yuhas, a Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist, and Registered Veterinary Technician, Jackie, had the opportunity to visit Starr at Harbor Animal Hospital to perform an echo on her in November due to a heart murmur and a collapse episode.

She had one again in December, so Dr. Yuhas came in to place a Holter Monitor (a noninvasive method of assessing the heart's rhythm and rate) on her to further investigate. We’re waiting on those results and expect them back in a few weeks. She was a very good girl for the placement and we were very impressed by her sweet demeanor! 🐾🐕

This stylish pup with his raincoat is Johnny! ☔️

Dr. Yuhas and her veterinary assistant, Jackie, met Johnny at Animal Hospital of South Bay (Lawndale) to perform an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) to evaluate his heart murmur. This non-invasive tool was used to ensure that he is a good candidate for an upcoming dental cleaning.

The echocardiogram revealed Johnny has Mitral Valve Disease & Tricuspid Valve Disease, which are very common conditions in older small breed dogs. These are age related changes to the valves within the heart, but thankfully, no medications are needed at this time and he is cleared to go under anesthesia to get his teeth cleaned! 🦷🪥

We appreciate having been given the opportunity to participate in Johnny’s care, and look forward to collaborating with the team at Animal Hospital of South Bay again in the near future.🐾

🚨 NEW PARTNER ALERT! 🚨

Dr. Strachan, a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist, and Jennifer, a Fear Free Certified Registered Technician, were invited into Tustana Animal Hospital for the first time recently to meet with Rylee, a sweet lab who was a bit camera shy for us. 🐾❤️

Rylee has had a bout of diarrhea recently and an abdominal ultrasound was performed to further investigate.

Thank you for giving Dr. Strachan the opportunity to participate in this handsome boy’s care! We can’t wait to work together in the future! 🥰
