🥺
TODAY THE VILLALOBOS FAMILY IS IN MOURNING
In the early morning hours, we lost a sweet soul who came to work for us over a year ago. Originally from Alaska, we had doubts that she could handle the ways of Louisiana, especially the weather.
But her love of dogs and our mission gave her the strength to power through it, and, combined with her amazing, uplifting, and positive outlook on whatever life threw her way, she remained a rock-steady VRC employee.
Succumbing to her injuries in a one-vehicle accident right here in our hometown, there are so many questions we have. The first being...why her? She was one of the good ones. It's simply not fair.
Sara never met a stranger, and she would give you the shirt off her back, and if she didn't have one, she'd go and buy you one. Her 24/7 smile was infectious, and I can still hear her voice when I would pull up in the driveway..."Hey Miss Tia. And how is your day?"
She leaves behind family in Alaska and so many friends and co-workers who are heartbroken beyond words. And each day when I have to drive by the spot in the road that took your life, I will slow down long enough to say, "Hey, Miss Sara. We know that you're in the afterlife, taking care of all the VRC dogs that have passed on. Thanks for that. And hey...we miss you."
Rest in Paradise, my friend.
