As we approach the end of August, we have a bittersweet announcement to share with our Valley West family. ❤️🐾

After many years of caring for our patients, supporting our team, and helping shape Valley West Veterinary Hospital into the practice it is today, Dr. Amy Keith will be stepping away from her regular role at the end of this month.

Dr. Keith is looking forward to having more time to focus on another passion of hers - teaching, and, most importantly, spending more time with her family.

While we will certainly miss seeing her at the hospital every day, this may not be a permanent goodbye! After the new year, you may see Dr. Keith back at Valley West from time to time in a more limited capacity. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for everything she has given to Valley West, our team, our clients, and the countless pets she has cared for over the years. Her impact on our hospital goes far beyond the exam room, and she will always be an important part of the Valley West family.

Please join us in wishing Dr. Amy Keith all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter. 🥰

Leptospirosis (lepto) is a serious bacterial disease that dogs can catch from puddles, standing water, or soil that has been exposed to urine from infected wildlife or other animals. The good news? Lepto is largely preventable with a yearly vaccine. Ask us about leptospirosis vaccination for your dog, and how you can protect your entire family.

Happy International Cat Day! 🐱🌍 Today we celebrate the clever, curious, and fiercely independent felines who share our homes and hearts. Fun fact: A cat’s brain is about 90% similar to a human’s — so if it feels like they’ve outsmarted you… they probably have.
