I’ve been fortunate enough to produce some truly incredible dogs. Dogs that have gone on to accomplish wonderful things, dogs that have exceeded expectations, and dogs that are simply everything a family could ever ask for in a companion.

And honestly? I’m equally proud of every single one of them.

As a breeder, there’s so much that goes into every decision, every pairing, and every litter. You have hopes for what those puppies will become, but getting to watch them grow into their own individual dogs is something special.

I’m proud of what I’ve produced, proud of the foundation I’ve built, and excited to see what the future holds for Marvel Retrievers.

There’s always more to learn, more to improve, and more goals to work toward. But I think it’s important to occasionally look back and appreciate just how far you’ve come.

Because producing a beautiful dog is one thing. Producing dogs with the temperament, versatility, and heart to be truly exceptional is something I’m incredibly proud of.

A little life update & some thoughts on our future breeding plans!

As some of you may know, I’ve recently started a new job! With this exciting new chapter comes some decisions regarding our future breeding plans here at Marvel Retrievers.

While I absolutely look forward to the possibility of welcoming more little Marvel pups into the world, I’ve always believed that breeding should happen when the time is right, not simply because there’s a litter planned.

Before either of our girls is bred, both will undergo their full OFA health testing. Beyond that, my priority is making sure they’re physically and mentally mature, healthy, and prepared for everything that comes with pregnancy, whelping, and raising puppies.

Right now, producing another litter simply isn’t at the top of my priority list. Doing things right is.

With starting a new job, I also have to be realistic about my time and responsibilities. Bringing puppies into the world isn’t something I take lightly. When my girls whelp, I want to be there. Not just for the delivery, but for the days and weeks that follow. Mom and babies deserve my undivided attention, and that’s something I’m not willing to compromise on.

I can’t be in two places at once, and I don’t want to rush into taking extended time away from a job I’ve only just started.

So for now, we’re focusing on health testing, enjoying our dogs, continuing to work toward our goals, and making sure that when the time comes, everyone is set up for success.

Our future plans aren’t going anywhere. We’re just allowing ourselves the time to do things the right way. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who continues to follow along and support our little Marvel family!

Life with Labradors is never boring. 😂

Whether they’re running, exploring, swimming, or just enjoying being dogs, there’s never a dull moment with this crew.

Wouldn’t have it any other way!

Lab owners, what’s ONE thing your dog absolutely loves doing? 👀👇

Saturdays are for muddy paws, wet coats, and happy Labs.

These three couldn’t care less about the weather, and I’m pretty sure they’d stay out here all day if I let them. 😂

Never a dull moment with this crew!

How are all our Marvel pups spending their weekend? We’d love to see some pictures in the comments! 📸❤️

Wishing everyone a weekend filled with sunshine, adventures, and a little Labrador love!

MONDAY MOTIVATION — brought to you by Scarlet. ❤️

New week. New opportunities. Same determination.

Scar’s reminder for today: you don’t have to have the whole week figured out. Just show up, give today what you’ve got, and keep putting one foot — or paw — in front of the other.
