Today we celebrate the life of Bijou Marie Ganz 💕
Bijou came to Ryan’s Pet Supplies in 2018 when her mom joined the marketing department. It didn’t take long for her bright light, discerning taste, and strong opinions to earn her official roles in “toy product development” and “treat testing.”
She quickly became an office staple when two fellow coworkers began bringing their dogs to work, forming what came to be known as “The Small Dog Squad.” Bijou reported to work on time every day for over 5 years. 🫡
Bijou was a beloved member of the team, coming to trade shows, modeling for our catalog and print media multiple times, and bringing a little extra joy wherever she went. ✨🌟💕
In 2023, Bijou followed her mom into remote work. While she was no longer in the RPS office every day, she still made her sporadic appearances on Zoom calls and continued to brighten the days of everyone who knew her. Even while remote, she still took her treat testing responsibilities very seriously. Bijou also took full advantage of city life, enjoying walks through some of Chicago’s beautiful parks.
When she returned to Arizona last year, Bijou enjoyed exploring Gilbert’s Discovery Park before settling into a home where she finally had free range of her very own backyard. She loved having a space to call her own.
And then, of course, she resumed her in-office presence at our new Chandler facility, where she became, and will continue to be, a source of inspiration for all of us.
At Ryan’s Pet Supplies, our mission is to take care of the people who take care of pets. Today, we’re reminded of just how much our pets take care of us too.
Our hearts go out to everyone who has ever loved and lost a pet. 💔
Bijou was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed. 💕🐾
