Athena Athena’s Bio When we got our puppy at 6 months old, she had already faced some tough challenges. She didn't even have any toys.

Her previous owners didn't want her anymore and were ready to either dump her in the desert/Indian Reservation or bring her to a high-kill shelter. Because she was very nervous, skittish, and scared, it's unlikely anyone would have taken her in. She spent most of her time in a crate outside under the harsh desert sun in Arizona. She wasn't socialized, hadn't received any vaccines, and had never le

ft the house or gone for a car ride. Since coming to live with us, which was the 20th of July, 2024, she has a yard to run in and a cool house to retreat to when the summer heat gets too intense. At first, she was scared of the toys we gave her and didn't know how to play or ride in a car. Now, after just a short time with us, she's made so much progress! She’s had her shots and is learning commands like sit, wait (still working on that one), give her paws, heel, and stop. She loves playing with all her toys and rings the bells at the back door when she needs to go potty or just wants to play outside. She's out and about in the house all day but sleeps through the night in her crate. Our little pup is always ready for a game and is enjoying life to the fullest!
