💚MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY💚

Happiness.

People often think it comes naturally but the truth is that it doesn't. We have to work at it everyday. Our brains are actually hardwired to seek out the negative in the day rather than looking at the positive. A professor at YALE taught a course on the psychology of how to live a happy life. Here are some very important lessons that she found:

🐶 LESS MONEY. You may think that having more money will make you happy but studies have shown there is no increase in happiness with more money. In fact, they found it actually decreases happiness.

🐶 CONNECTION. When you are feeling lonely or sad, the quickest way to combat that is to help someone else you think is lonely. Our happiness is directly tied to lifting up other people.

🐶 TIME. The more time you have to sit and enjoy the present rather than the constant busy schedules is directly tied to an increase in happiness.

Happiness actually takes work. No matter what your situation may look like right now, find one thing that makes you happy in this very moment. 😊

We could’ve built a huge boarding facility and packed it full of dogs… but that’s not what we wanted.

We intentionally keep our kennel small so we can actually know your dog, spend time with them, and give them the attention they deserve.

5×5 indoor kennel + 5×5 outdoor kennel

Two fenced-in yards

Sometimes the best trainer for your obnoxious young dog is an older dog who has absolutely zero patience for his nonsense.

It’s okay to let appropriate corrections happen.

No, your older dog is not “being mean.”

He’s basically saying, “Kid, I have explained this already.”

Socialization isn’t always puppies playing together and having a blast. Sometimes it’s learning when to knock the crap off.
