🐾CLAWDIA STORY🐾
We were contacted by Union County Animal Clinic in City of Morganfield about a sweet girl whose life had been absolutely destroyed by the streets. This loveable tuxedo baby is about 4 years old but shows the scars of the sad suffering that all street cats survive and suffer through. Her ear is crumpled up(from fighting, hematomas, or from scratching ear mites), her eye is damaged beyond repair (possibly from fighting or URIs left untreated), she has a hernia, only 2 canines remain in her young mouth, and she is FIV+....to say this girl has been through the ringer would be an understatement.
Why not EUTHANIZE?
This girl is 4 yrs old and has a lifetime ahead of her! Our duty is to find the POSSIBLE not the IMPOSSIBLE in everyone's life! Now if she was suffering had massive mouth infections, the hernia turns into a cancer tumor, eye was heavily infected and her quality of life was minimal with excessive suffering then we would choose to grant peace, but that is not Clawdias situation at all.
🐾DAEMON STORY🐾
We were contacted by Diana Duncan to help someone close to her with a TNR Initiative. While we were setting up a TNR plan in The City of Madisonville, KY and finding out how many cats we would be helping we couldnt help but notice an adorable white kitten scratching on tires and happily playing with clover leaves. Not a care in the world just being a kitten, but then we learned he was the last surviving kitten from his litter. Something had killed his siblings leaving him alone to endure the street life alone. No one to play with, no one to cuddle when storms raged around him, just him and the occasional visits of his momma. So his amazing caregiver picked him up and off to the FLUFFING CIRCUS he went.
Both of these sweet souls are exactly why we RISE, RESCUE and REPEAT!
🤝 ️We as communities have got to start rallying for our community cats and not against them.
👀 We as communities have got to start understanding that these innocent babies did not ask to be street cats suffering, begging for help that never comes, leading lives filled with stress/illness, or dying alone injured/sick/forgotten in alley ways, ditches, treelines while the world zooms forward never batting an eye at their suffering.
🫶 We as communities need to stop and understand street cats are here because a HUMAN FAILED THEM not because cats do great outside, but because someone didn't SPAY/NEUTER, someone promised forever and lied, someone moved and abandoned.....
SOMEONE FAILED THEM, FORGOT THEM AND LEFT THEM TO SUFFER.
