They say ⚡ doesn't strike thrice, but here at Feather Shoe Farms, it does!

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of "Lambent's Loosa L'Amour", out of "Barkley’s Halestorm" and by "Willow's Lambent Moon".

Born just minutes before the end of Mother's Day, she is the third foal Brenda has welcomed on this holiday.

This filly is a perfect testament to the woman who stays up all night to see these miracles through!

Sadly Little Legends show days have wound down at the horse fair, but he's home and happily enjoying time with all his little foal friends on the farm.

However he won't be out of the spotlight for very long, he will make several appearances at horse shows throughout Iowa this summer along side his mama Shadow one of the next being at the South Central Iowa Saddle Club in Centerville, Iowa on May 30th.

A huge "Thank You!" to all of our helpers, horse friends, the Iowa Morgan Horse Association, and the Iowa Horse Fair, it's committee members and especially all the volunteers for making the 2026 fair so much fun!

What a thrilling day for our Moresian mare "Casting Shadows" and her Little C**t "Fairborn Legend" as they participated in today's demos! "Little Legend", just three days old now, is simply remarkable! Demonstrating willingness to both lead and follow mama in the show ring while engaging with the Iowa Morgan Horse Association's demo team and the Iowa Horse Fair's Parade of Breeds. We are thrilled to welcome a very special arrival to the world!

On Wednesday evening at approximately 9:30 p.m., just ahead of the Iowa Horse Fair at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, our Moresian mare “Casting Shadows” proudly delivered her very first foal—a beautiful, all-black c**t with an already unforgettable presence.

This c**t, like his mother, carries a unique and elegant blend of breeding—combining Friesian and Morgan lines—and it shows in both his striking appearance and his confident, friendly personality.

From the moment he stood, he’s been curious, people-oriented, and full of charm, making fast friends with everyone lucky enough to meet him.

We also believe he may hold a special distinction as the very first foal born on the fairgrounds during preparations for the Iowa Horse Fair, making his arrival even more memorable.

We couldn’t be more excited to watch this little c**t grow and begin his journey.

We are disappointed to find that someone has chosen to steal our logo in an attempt to scam our patrons. While we are thrilled for the popularity, we do not wish for anyone to be scammed. We do not currently have any merchandise for sale to the public. We do from time to time have merchandise that we will offer at show booths or occasionally custom orders for those that visit our farm. Please do not fall for this scammer's attempt to steal your funds.

We couldn’t be more proud of our daughter Ashley Sleeth, crowned Cowgirl Queen of the South Central Iowa Saddle Club and shining bright with her incredible horses this 4th of July! ❤️🐴💫

Ashley represents the heart of what we do here at Feather Shoe Farms. From the arena to the pasture, she’s grown into a graceful rider and a true leader. Watching her represent our farm with pride, sparkle, and stars & stripes is a dream come true!

We're thrilled to announce the arrival of our precious Foal #3! 🌟 Born this morning, May 3rd, around 2:30 a.m., this little Friesian cross (Friewalker) filly was eager to greet the world and was up and nursing almost immediately! Out of our stunning Dalton's Lucky Star (Lucky) and the beautiful Montana (Tana), she's inherited her mama's sweet nature and is already showering her humans with cuddles! She's got an absolutely adorable star on her forehead and if you look closely, you might spot some charming tiny black spots sprinkled throughout her bright white coat! We are absolutely in love!
