Friends of Community-Cats Rescue Our mission is to rescue cats & kittens from abuse, neglect & unfortunate death & to promote TNR. We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats.

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state. We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals. We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock. Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.

💔 TWO PRECIOUS LIVES. ONE SMALL RESCUE DESPERATELY NEEDING YOUR HELP. 💔

Sometimes, no matter how hard we try to stay ahead, the unexpected hits us all at once. 😢

Yesterday was one of those days for us. 💔

🐾 Our sweet kitten Candice is fighting to get better. A few days ago, she suddenly stopped eating and began declining rapidly. Her incredible foster family has been working around the clock, force-feeding her, administering subcutaneous fluids, and doing everything possible to keep her going. At Angel Paws Veterinary Services, she underwent an exam, bloodwork, and f***l testing. Thankfully, FIP has been ruled out, and we're now looking at a possible bacterial infection in her abdomen. ❤️‍🩹

🐾 And then there's our precious Loki. One of our permanent medical fosters, Loki gave us quite a scare Tuesday when blood suddenly appeared in his mouth. We rushed him to Angel Paws, where their amazing team squeezed him into an already packed schedule. After extensive testing and radiographs, we learned he has a slightly enlarged heart and a heart murmur, but nothing that explains the bleeding. We suspect he coughed up the blood, but we still don't know why. We're anxiously awaiting his blood clotting test results and may need an ultrasound.

💔 Two kitties. Two urgent veterinary visits. And approximately $500-$700 (depending on how much the clotting test will be) in unexpected medical bills — with more expenses potentially coming.

As a small, 501(c)(3), entirely volunteer-run rescue, we don't have deep pockets or a financial safety net. Every dollar we receive goes toward helping cats like Candice and Loki. We simply cannot do this without the kindness of people like YOU.

🙏 Can you help us raise $500-$700 to cover yesterday's urgent visits?

Even $5 or $10 can make a difference. Every single donation brings us closer to covering their care and allows us to keep saying YES to the cats who need us most.

🐾 PLEASE SHARE! If you can't donate, sharing this post could help it reach someone who can.

Please help us keep fighting for them. 🥺❤️

With love and gratitude,

🐈‍⬛💕 Meet Spooky Pookie! 💕🐈‍⬛
* A little shy, a whole lot of sweet! *

This beautiful brown tabby girl may take a little time to warm up in new situations, but once you start petting her, she’ll lean right into your hand and let her affectionate side shine! 🥹💗 Spooky Pookie is a sweet, cuddly, playful lady who loves being near her people and soaking up all the love and attention she deserves.

🎾 When she’s not enjoying pets and cuddles, Spooky Pookie loves to play! Springs, rattle mice, laser pointers, and cardboard boxes are some of her favorite things. And if you really want to win her heart? Churu treats are the way to go! 😻🍗 This girl has the perfect mix of playful fun and snuggly sweetness.

🏡 Spooky Pookie came to us after being overlooked at a local shelter for far too long, and now she’s ready for her chance to find the loving home she’s been waiting for! She would thrive in a quiet, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace and become the spoiled little princess she was always meant to be. 👑💖 Give her a little time, a lot of love, and plenty of gentle affection, and you may just find yourself with the most devoted little companion.

** Spooky Pookie needs a quiet, indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. She needs a family who will give her lots of love, attention, and playtime. **

Spooky Pookie does well with other cats after proper introductions. We aren’t sure how she is with dogs. She does well with respectful, older children and she is litter box trained.

✨ Could you be Spooky Pookie’s happily-ever-after? ✨ If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this precious girl, fill out an application today. Let’s make sure this sweet girl never gets overlooked again! 🐾❤️

🖤🤍 Meet Timothy! 🤍🖤
* Your Future Professional Snuggle Buddy! *

Looking for a sweet, playful companion with an extra dose of adorable? Meet Timothy! 😻 This handsome black-and-white gentleman was overlooked at a local shelter for far too long, and now he’s ready to find the loving forever home he deserves. Could you be the one to make his happily-ever-after come true? 🏡💕

Timothy absolutely LOVES spending time with his humans! 🥰 Give him some pets, and he’ll reward you with the most adorable little rolls to get your attention. He’s playful, curious about everything around him, and always ready to explore. You’ll often find him perched proudly on a cat tree, hanging out in a cardboard box 📦, or hoping you’ll share one of his favorite Churu treats. And when playtime is over? Timothy is all about those cozy snuggle sessions! 🐾

Timothy does have one special request: because of a difficult experience in his past, he feels most comfortable receiving affection with all four paws on the ground rather than being held. ❤️ He has so much love to give and will thrive with someone who respects his boundaries and lets him enjoy affection on his own terms. A quieter home where he can be cherished, spoiled, and showered with attention would be his dream come true!

** Timothy needs a quiet, indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. He needs a family who will give him lots of love, attention, and playtime. **

Timothy does well with other cats after proper introductions. We aren’t sure how he is with dogs. He does well with respectful, older children and he is litter box trained.

✨ Could Timothy be your missing piece? ✨ If you’re ready for a sweet, silly, affectionate companion who will fill your days with adorable antics and loving moments, Timothy is waiting to meet you! 💖

Have you ever wanted a kitty who can do ✨tricks✨?!
Well look no further! Sweet Astrid is still available for adoption (crazy we know... we don't understand how either 🤯)
Astrid is the perfect mix of playful, cuddly, chatty, and entertaining. She'll greet you the moment you walk in the door, play all day long, and curl up with you to snuggle🥰 She deserves the best home and we want her to get that! Astrid currently knows "sit" and "spin". We're confident she could learn other tricks as well in the future!
Take a chance on sweet Astrid! She's currently at the Centerville PetSmart... awaiting her furever family! We'll link her bio in the comments! 🖤

Transport found! A huge thank you to our amazing volunteer Amy for offering to fly Ariel and to Kitty Devore Rescue from California for being so kind to pick up Ariel and give her a place to stay for the next couple of weeks!

Hi friends! This is probably a long shot, but one of our kitties ended up all the way in Hawthorne, California at the spcaLA South Bay Pet Adoption Center last week. (We are in Salt Lake City, UT) We adopted Ariel out about a year ago with another kitty. Unfortunately, we have made every attempt possible at contacting the adopter to try and find the other kitty, but haven't had any luck. Anyway, we are hoping to find transport from Hawthorne, CA to Salt Lake City, UT asap so Ariel can get back with us. Does any of our followers know of anyone going this route? If so, please send us a message! 🫶🐾
