Friends of Community-Cats Rescue Our mission is to rescue cats & kittens from abuse, neglect & unfortunate death & to promote TNR. We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats.

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill s

tate. We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals. We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock. Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.

💔 Tiny Nugget needs your help! 🐾

Kitten season has been relentless, and Friends of Community-Cats Rescue has been taking in vulnerable kittens every week. Last in one day, we welcomed 12 sick kittens from a local shelter.

One of those kittens, Nugget, is currently being treated for aspiration pneumonia. She has already received veterinary care, medications, vaccines, and deworming, costing nearly $300 so far. Tomorrow she returns to Angel Paws Veterinary Services for additional radiographs and a recheck appointment.

We're hoping to raise $500 to help cover Nugget's medical expenses. When you donate, you're not only helping Nugget breathe easier and recover—you are helping us continue saying "yes" to the next sick kitten who needs a chance.

This beautiful dilute tortie is a friendly, affectionate little girl who loves being close to her people. Whether she's soaking up pets, accepting her favorite Churu treats, or curling up in a cozy bed under a blanket, Lorelai's purr motor is always running. She has a playful, curious spirit and can turn just about anything into a fun adventure!

Lorelai is especially devoted to her best friend, Luke. These two have been inseparable since day one, and you'll often find Lorelai following him around, matching his every move and trying to outsmart his "very clever" pouncing techniques. They spend their days wrestling, chasing toys, climbing to the top of the cat tree, and then snuggling up together for a well-earned nap. Because of their special bond, Lorelai and Luke must be adopted together. 🐾❤️

Their journey hasn't always been easy. Lorelai and Luke came from a hoarding situation and later found themselves in a local shelter. Luke is a handsome kitten who brings joy, laughter, and adventure everywhere he goes. This friendly little guy is always ready to make new friends, soak up affection, and tell you all about his day with his adorable kitten chatter. Luke absolutely loves being petted, spending time with his people, and enjoying tasty wet food and Churu treats. Time for some incredibly good news! Did you know that across the United States, we are saving more cats than ever before? Recent national shelter data from 2025 shows a record-breaking save rate for cats at nearly 83%! Even better, the number of cats euthanized in shelters has dropped by nearly 75% over the last decade. How did we achieve this massive success? Through dedicated community cat TNR programs, amazing foster networks, and people just like you choosing to adopt. Kitten season has hit us harder than ever, and we urgently need your help. 🐾💔

As an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue, every single kitten we save depends entirely on donations from our community. Over the past several weeks, we’ve been taking in new kittens almost nonstop — and just TWO nights ago, we welcomed 12 more kittens from a local shelter. They are all very sick, and one precious baby is currently fighting pneumonia.

Our supplies are disappearing faster than we can replace them. We are desperately in need of essentials like:
🥫 Wet/dry kitten food
🧻 Paper towels
🧼 Cleaning supplies
🍼 Kitten formula (KMR or Pet Ag)
🐱 Pellet litter (Tractor Supply carries the large bags!)
