Luka, Evie and Penny have joined the Cart Crew 💪🏼 Today was the first time these three pups have been to a store other than pet stores, and they killed it! They entered with some excitement but quickly settled down and were loving working on socialization!

Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise for dogs! It helps build muscle and burns energy without putting stress on their joints. It’s especially great for puppies, senior dogs, and pups recovering from injuries!

Beyond the physical stimulation, swimming also helps with confidence. Not only that, but it’s the perfect way for dogs to cool off during hot weather while still staying active. Whether it’s the pool, lake, or beach, think about taking your pup out for some fun water adventure! 🐾 💦

**Important notes: Never throw your dog in the water or force them to swim! Let them enjoy it at their own pace. If your dog loves water but is not the best swimmer, consider a dog life jacket. Be careful of your dog in taking stillwater such as lakes / ponds as there can be harmful algae / bacterias!

That’s a wrap for the Spring 2026 puppy class! We have 4 graduates (our 4th will be posted at a later date!) In this puppy class, we did 6 weeks that featured basic obedience, CGC run through, confidence building, handling when grooming and more!

These three are such fun, bright pups and cannot wait to see what they do as they continue to grow! They have fantastic parents willing to help them thrive! 👏🏼 🐶

Building confidence in puppies is one of the most important parts of raising a well-rounded dog. A confident puppy is less likely to develop fear-based behaviors, such as barking, cowering, or aggression when faced with new people, dogs, or environments. Confidence helps puppies approach new experiences (like meeting dogs, people, or hearing new sounds) with curiosity instead of fear. This makes socialization smoother and safer. They will be willing to try new things, figure out challenges, and recover quickly if something startles them. It helps with focus and engagement during training. They’re less distracted by stress and more motivated to learn!

There are so many ways to build confidence, starting with obedience and trick training, but agility is such an easy and fun way to start!

So excited to announce that Canine Compass LLC has an official demo dog in our crew - meet Gecko!

Gecko was being rehomed and ended up with me - and this past month has been such a fun ride. Each day I am learning more about him and his drive, but one thing is for certain: he is a certified, pure good boy.

You may get the chance to meet Gecko at an evaluation or a lesson, and this is his official debut! 🎉🐶
