It's back! The Rubey Rescue Run is on for Fall 2026, and we are so excited to once again sponsor this amazing dog-friendly event benefitting the Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter. 🍂 🐾 🏃

Registration is open - sign up now for the 6k fun run in Aspen on October 4th at RubeyRescueRun.org. This year's event will feature a costume contest, giveaways, prizes, food, and yes, a whole lot of cute dogs. 🐶 is also looking for more sponsors, raffle prizes, and in-kind donations.

This is Kitsune AKA Kitsu (and his Bernadoodle bestie, Dude). I know, biiig swoon for that face.

Kitsu's got a big birthday coming up (1!) and his first year has been nothing but the good life: wrestling with his brother Kumo, making new dog friends everywhere he goes, and chasing tennis balls like it’s his full-time job. When he’s not in play mode, he’s a total cuddle bug (rare for a Shiba!). Not paying him enough attention will get you a tiny front-teeth love nibble and the occasional “hey, pay attention to me” ankle nip 💛

Not a fan of the heat or those mid-afternoon walks (same, my guy), Kitsu would much rather be snacking on his favorite Frank’s Fresh recipes or working on a bully stick during his teething phase. Priorities are dialed in.

A few more Kitsu facts: he's a rescue from Pawsitive Restorations Animal Rescue, has a congenital VSD (a small hole in his heart, which his family is doing everything they can to support), and he’s out here living life to the absolute fullest. If you see this fun guy around, give him a happy birthday paw! We 💚 that Kitsune is a part of the Frank's Fresh fam.

“Vet approved,” “natural,” “human-grade”—they sound great, but most of these terms are loosely defined (or totally unregulated).

The truth? The ingredient list matters more than the label on the front.

Look for real, whole foods you recognize—not a list of confusing additives and marketing buzzwords.
