Florida heat is no joke, and your pup’s safety always comes first.

As temperatures in the Fort Myers / Gateway area climb into the high 80s and the heat index pushes past 100°F, we are officially enacting our Extreme Weather Policy for all scheduled visits today.

Here is what that means for your pet:

When ambient temperatures and heat index levels reach dangerous thresholds, asphalt and concrete sidewalks can heat up to 120–140°F - hot enough to cause severe paw pad burns in under five minutes. Rather than risk that, we modify our visits to include shaded grass potty breaks and air-conditioned indoor enrichment, playtime, and fresh water monitoring. Your pet still gets the full love and attention - just safely adapted for the conditions.

This policy is part of our service agreement because we believe professional pet care means making the right call, even when it is not the easiest one. Your trust means everything to us, and we will never compromise your fur baby’s well-being for the sake of routine.
