Happy Equinox! 🌎

Today, fall begins in the Northern Hemisphere while spring begins in the Southern Hemisphere, a beautiful reminder that the same world can be experiencing different seasons at the same time.

Seasonal tips for our FurBabies:

🍂 Watch for increased itching, paw licking or irritated skin, as seasonal allergens can affect sensitive pups.

🛁 Keep their coat clean to help remove pollen and other environmental allergens.

💧 Keep fresh water available and provide a cozy, comfortable place to rest as routines and temperatures change.

And as the seasons change, remember: God is present in every season of our lives, and each one has a purpose.

“I can’t see… but I trust you.” ❤️🐾

On September 11, 2001, Michael Hingson, a blind man, was on the 78th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center with his guide dog, Roselle.

Then the unimaginable happened.

The building was struck, and chaos began. Smoke, screams, dust, and people trying to escape filled the building.

But Roselle did not panic.

Michael could not see the way out. So he did something that required absolute trust: he followed his dog.

Roselle began guiding him down the stairs. They descended approximately 78 floors and more than 1,400 steps while thousands of people tried to escape.

She did not know what was happening.
She did not know that day would change history.
She only knew that her human needed her to lead him home. 🐕‍🦺❤️

Roselle successfully led Michael out of the building and to safety.

Minutes later, the North Tower collapsed.

That day, a small Labrador did not have to understand the world to do something extraordinary.

She only had to do what she had always done:

Take care of her human. 🐾❤️

Roselle left us with a lesson we should never forget:

True loyalty does not need words. Sometimes it has four paws, a huge heart, and walks ahead of us when we cannot find the way.

Today Pooch Love honor Roselle and also the Nearly 300 K-9 search-and-rescue teams who came to Ground Zero after 9/11. 🐕‍🦺🇺🇸 They searched. They served. They never gave up. Thank you to these four-legged heroes and their handlers. ❤️🐾
