Very important....

Short Snouts & Summer Heat

Calling all Pugs, Bulldogs, Frenchies, and Boxers! 🐾

Flat-faced (brachycephalic) breeds work twice as hard to breathe on a normal day—throw in the summer heat, and it can become an emergency very quickly.

Because these breeds can’t pant as efficiently to cool down, they are at a much higher risk for heatstroke.

Stay Safe:
🏠 Keep them in the AC during the heat of the day.
🐕 Walks should be brief and during the coolest hours.
💧 Always have fresh, cool water available.

Reduce the Risk:
Surgical correction for BOAS (such as widening the nostrils or shortening the soft palate) can significantly improve airflow and help decrease the risk of heat-related emergencies.

If you notice excessive panting, a “honking” sound, vomiting, lethargy, or dark red gums, move your pet to a cool area and call us immediately. 💙

Good morning CAMPers!!!

I would like to introduce our newest team member at CAMP. ❤️🐕🐾

Maija Boyd has joined our CAMP family and I know she is going to be a great addition to our team. She has a great love for animals, a positive attitude, and dedication to providing excellent care to all of our fur babies at Camp Furry Paws.
Be sure to say hello and welcome her when you see her around CAMP! 🐾

Good morning.

The safety of my staff and all dogs in our care at CAMP Furry Paws is my TOP priority.

I do understand dogs can have different personalities and behaviors, but I cannot & wont tolerate aggressive behavior toward staff or other dogs.

Any dog showing signs of aggression will be asked to leave immediately and may be denied future daycare or boarding services to ensure a safe and positive environment for everyone.

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation as my staff and I continue providing the best care possible for every pup at CAMP. 🐾
