Mane tips featuring Frankenstein, 4yr old geld, and Birdie.
Step 1: take out old braid.
Step 2: use a GOOD detaingler to come out from the ends of hair to the top. Preferably one with a silk protein. I use Cowboy Magic or my own mix with CHI Infra Silk Infusion(or other brands). I also use WD40 if the mane/tail is really bad.
Step 3: apply an ethnic hair leave in conditioner, do not go all the way to the end where you will tape or the tape won't stay.
Step 4: braid 1" sections over withers where the neck will stretch down and 2" sections the remaining way(or stay with 1"). Tape ends. No bands.

Back to Seep Springs trails in Canon City, CO this time I tracked both rides to see how many miles. 4 horses, two riders, three dogs. The horses and dogs only went on one ride each. Frankenstein, Viper 3yr old bay geld by Charges Legacy(Nations), and we took the new gal Miss Kitty out today with us, 3yr buckskin filly owned by Becky Trueblood.
