Fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be terrifying for our pets. Every year after the 4th of July, animal shelters are flooded with pets who escaped while trying to flee the noise. Don't let your pet become one of them.
Here are a few ways to help keep them safe:
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks.
🏷️ Make sure ID tags and microchip information are up to date.
🎆 Close windows and curtains, and play calming music or white noise.
🦴 Create a cozy, secure space with their favorite blanket or toy.
🚫 Never bring pets to fireworks displays.
🚗 If possible, consider spending the evening in an area where fireworks are not permitted or are limited.
🍫 Keep holiday foods, alcohol, and sparklers safely out of reach.
A little preparation today can help ensure your pet is safe at home tomorrow.

🐾 What a wonderful visit to the new Camino Farmers Market today!

I stopped by to explore, meet local vendors, and share information about Gallop Pet Sitting.

It was such a great first experience—so much local talent, food, and creativity all in one place.

From beautiful flower bouquets, irises, handmade pottery, and stunning produce, to jewelry, a “succulent bar,” tallow skincare, lotions, and goat milk soaps—there was so much to see and enjoy. There was also face painting and yoga in the shade, adding to the fun community atmosphere.

Food highlights included tacos, Polish sausage, and pork sandwiches on site, plus sourdough, bagels, brownies, cookies, carrot cake, and honey to take home.
